Good Morning Carolyn and all who follow,

Sure can tell it's Sunday. Everybody's sleeping in. Glad to see you have some sunshine where you are Carolyn. Cloudy here, supposed to be sunny this afernoon.

Just got back from church. No plans for today. Nothing new either. So wishing all a nice day.

GOOD MORNING CAROLYN, SUE, AND ALL!

We never got any of that much-needed rain here, unfortunately, but the weather is dry, sunny, no humidity, sunny, breezy, and perfect, per usual down here in this land of miraculous sunshine.

My company has gone, and the house seems very lonely now. They were a wonderful family to have----great parents with fantastically bright, polite, active, helpful, sweet kids. I think they had a good time----I know they did. They covered more territory in a week than most people can do down here in a month. Tom used to live here for a while, so he knows the area and has friends they could visit for a night out while the kids and I stayed here. I will definitely miss them, and their helpful hands which got me through this first week of bone healing.

Right after they left, I mistakenly left the porch screen door ajar when I got Dinah, walked her to the front yard, let her in, got on Skype with Mandy and Orion, and heard that door snap-to. I looked out to see Dinah free as the wind, and moving like the wind, on the trail of whatever critters went through the yad last night. My heart leaped, as I knew she would probably follow that trail to heaven-knows-where in this strange area, and I might never see her again. I got some shoes and some bones for tidbits, went outside and began making my "call" to her----a trill that is loud----and the neighbors said they saw her run by and showed me the direction. They stopped their ball playing and helped me find her as she darted around all the houses and down by the pond. She finally came to me, and I rewarded her with a bone, and the man led her home for me as I still can't bend over for that long and hold strong Dinah back. Talk about a relief! I thanked the guys profusely for the help!

I am doing some laundry, and plan to try a walk with the dogs later when I take my next dose of Ibuprofen. I cannot believe how much better a night I had last night, and how much better I felt this morning upon arising. I can actually see an end to the agony now----granted, a long time in the future---but I can see it!

I hope the weather is kind to everybody today, and that you all have something fun to do!

Just checking in, not much going on here. It's sunny now but we're expecting over a half inch of rain later today. Chewy and I had a class last nite. Durn dog is perfect in class, the best student there, but get her out in public and she turns into the dog from hell. I told Jen she was just gonna have to go on the road with me this year to do some serious training. But knowing Chewy she'll be on her best behavior when Jen is around. Might be kind of tough in the rv, Jen has 2 pitties and a rottie. All better behaved than the Chewmonster. sigh. Turning into a jammie day here, so guess I better get moving!

Sharon, my DH use to tell me not to train on the road but he was talking about the kids. I don't know if this applies to dogs. What he meant was that I would let them get away with things at home that I didn't want them doing in public.

It's a beautiful day here, sunny and warm. Some would say hot because it is in the upper 80's. I am cooking a pork loin and it's taking longer than the package said. I have cooked pork roasts before but never one of the pork loins. I would rather a beef roast but the pork is about half the price of beef.

Don't know what I will do this afternoon. I might wash my van so everyone get ready for a storm. ;) I actually kind of cleaned it out yesterday. I could go through the 3 bags of mail and paper I took out. The next time my paper subscription runs out I am changing it to just Sunday. I can't keep up with them. I went to Walmart yesterday and managed to get out of there without any Easter candy. Boy that was hard to do.

Soos, glad you are feeling better.

Hi ladies!

It's way past noon here on the east coast but wanted to check in. We left Walterboro SC 8:00 this morning and are now settled in at Wilson NC. The trip was long but uneventful. We're leaving here Tuesday morning and continuing our trip to MD. We had a wicked storm that passed through the area last night which was very close & noisy. We ran into a few drizzly showers today, but they only lasted a few minutes.

I hope everyone on the road is safe and others have their lives under control. Take care everyone!

I did the difficult task of returning Simba to the pet rescue today. I was relieved to see that he recognized his former "home" and "Rescue-Mom." She let him into the fenced yard with a group of other small dogs and he began to mingle and play right away. When I slipped away, he didn't seem to notice, so perhaps it is for the best after all.

Tomorrow I will have a long drive to Florida and am looking forward to a short visit with Nan. Then a series of appointments to get the RV service & repair work done. Hope to spend a night or two where Kathleen is too. From there on to my other dd's to pick up my mail, and hopefully title for "Sport" so I can get her registered.

Glad the storms are petering out for now.

Aww Liz. (((((hugs))))). I know that it was probably harder on you than on Simla, but as you said, probably for the best.

I ran out for a bit earlier, to the pet store for cat litter and kitten food, then to michaels, where I actually managed to get out of there for under $100!!! I go in looking for a few different beads and try to buy them all!!! Now to get busy making something with them!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Liz, too bad about Simba, but he will be OK. You may eventually get adopted by the "right" dog somewhere along your travels when the time is right. Still praying that you get Bandit back. I got mine back, so miracles DO happen!

Worked the first half of the day today. It was nice and sunny earlier but now the wind is blowing fiercly and it is raining sideways!! And colder again  It is a good evening for reading and napping. I have tomorrow off but not sure what I will do yet. I NEED to do laundry and clean my room and car, so we'll see...

I was looking on-line last night at places for rent in Florida and found some really adorable cottages for rent around Tampa and Clearwater for around $500 per month! And 2 BR apts for under $600. So much more affordable than here. Lots of Great Clips around there too. So it is still something I'm thinking about. I may take a short trip to FL to visit my BFF in June or July and check it out more.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Know I'm late but I've been working in the yard today and gave the Land Dinghy a bath... looks so much better now. I've started a couple more mod projects to better organize my storage.

Gotta go write a paper. Check with y'all tomorrow.
