Well, I am officially a grandma!!!! Our sweet little Savannah Marslet Samuels was born on the 15th. She weighed in at 8# 5 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. She also had a full head of hair. Her hair on her neck is almost long enough to put in a pony tail. My precious darling is so pretty. :D I am gonna have to wait until I get home to post pictures. Our flight leaves on April 3rd, and we are gonna spend a few days in Kansas City with our son before heading home to Louisiana. The little stinker
was stubborn to the end so she had to be delivered by c section. Mama is slowly getting her strength back. But sistas I have never seen anyone's legs and feet swell like Candace's has after the birth. They look like they belong to an elephant and not my daughter. I understand that this is normal and her doc doesn't feel any alarm. Now her mama is another thing. : ;) Can't wait to show you pics. Hope all are safe and well.

Thanks to all of you. I can't wait to share the pic with you too. I just know I am gonna need a lot of support and strong shoulders when we have to go home and leave this precious gift from God behind in Washington; They will be moving to Northern California in mid July, so guess I will be flying into there for the next few years. Sure hope Rob's next posting will be somewhere closer to home. Her dad and I aren't getting any younger, and these trips are taking it out of us. Of course, I have been gone from home for 32 days today..so I am ready to go home. Like the old saying, there is no place like home.

I saw Savanah's pictures along with you and the proud grandpa on facebook...she really is gorgous!! Grandbabies are absolutely the bestest thing in the world!!
