GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!
It looks like it is gonna be a beautiful, beautiful day today!! Sun is shining but it's still a tadish cool in the trailer. Nothing much planned for today except some cleaning. Oh and I have to get the new sewer hose and water hose hooked up. Hard to believe we haven't dumped the black tank since we left AZ. But then again we haven't spent a "whole" lot of time in the trailer either.
I did have to fill a couple of gal jugs with water last eve tho so it's time to finish hooking up. Today is the day that the guy in the #1 site should be pulling out so that we will be able to use the metal steps that will be available.
Kelly left at 10:20 to do her first day cleaning! Will be so nice having a free site this season. She will also be looking for another job to work evenings. I think that I will have her wait on that a little be longer tho. Let me start at Dollywood first and learn what days off I will have so that we both can have the same days off. I think we both have high hopes for this season. I told Kelly that the one thing that I am gonna do this year without fail is go to Cherokee and see "Unto These Hills". As often as I have been to Cherokee I have never gone. This year I will go no matter what!!!
Played groomer yesterday. I think Shade is finally done blowing her coat so brushed her with in a inch of her life. Worked on the mats she always gets behind her ears and she is now mat free. Trimmed up her britches and around her feet too. She looks like a skinny new dog now!
Also did some 'grooming' on Kelly too. She has been bugging me to trim the long feathery hair on her neck and shave it so now she's done too. Ended up scrubbing the heck out of our picnic table last eve just before it got dark. Was checking out the table when I took Shade out this morn and it looks a whole lot better now. Will put the table cloth on the picnic table today. Wish I had something or could figure out what to use on the table under the cloth. I hate the cracks that picnic tables always have in them. Filling out some pprwork yesterday on the table I used a piece of cardboard to give me a good surface to write on.
As far as I am concerned except for it being unlevel this is near a perfect site for us. Only thing that would be an improvement was if the bathrooms were a little closer. But we are way down in the lower corner, only one other trailer on our door side. But we are close to the creek, close without being next to the dumpsters and there is a nice big hay field right behind us for Shade. I take her there and let her run. After our traveling to get here and having to keep her on a leash since then she really went nuts when I turned her loose in the field!! She was so happy to have the freedom and spent a bit of time simply running around in big circles!
Tho she did find something to roll in. Have no idea what the heck it was??? At least she doesn't stink!
But maybe I will give her a bath today?
OK, off to do some reading and catch up. Hope your day is blessed with all good things and please remember to do all safely.
Love to all
