It's me again.... :) Vickie stopped by after her kayak trip to Cumberland island... :D :D :D It was funny the way she found us.....I was sitting outside reading, looked up when a car was driving by with the driver's side window down....this lady calls out, "I know that hair cut!!".....and "where can I park??"  Well, of course, it must be Vickie.. ;) ...We hugged and I waved Irmi over from her site...and another hug...and we just started to chat away....like we've all known each other for years.. ;) ..after awhile we remembered to get the guys and introductions were done....She got the tour of our new "house on wheels" and introduced to Spinner...we visited for a couple of hours and then Vickie had to head home....sure was glad she got to stopped....and here are the pictures, as promised..... :D

Enjoy....

Glad you posted the pix already. I was so tired when I left your place. You should have thrown me out sooner. I left behind a big state park truck and was so tired I just followed him around the loop twice before I realized I had missed the exit sign. Stopped at Publix to pick up a few groceries before heading back to the middle of nowhere (regardless of how tired and dirty I was I had to take advantage of being near a real grocery store) then got home around 9. I did sit down at the computer for about 5 minutes but decided a better plan of action would be a shower and to bed. Slept like a rock.

Ladies, if you get the chance to visit the Sultan and Lorie you must tour the mansion. It is so spacious and has so many luxuries. And yet she let me in with my dirty clothes and really dirty feet. Guess that's what she means about "like we've always known each other". No worries about being judged, just proud to share. The visit was great and I envy them for heading west already. I can't do that before fall. It was just a great visit and I hated to leave but I still had 40 miles to go and Gus was home alone. Hope to get in another visit before they leave. Thanks again girls for your hospitality.

We had a great time.... ;)

Glad ya'll got to walk around St. Marys. I think it is a really neat town. I love that you visited the cemetery. I always go to old cemeteries because they have lots of the history there. Last summer I spent a day driving around the big cemetery in Buffalo, NY. Very neat place. Thanks again for being such great hosts to a tired old paddler.

Today, the guys went shopping at the local grocery stores....They both enjoy cooking and have been sharing recipes, spices, sauces, and marinades...etc...   (Some men tend to indulge their softer, more domesticated side when they retired.... ;) ) and they so wanted to stock up on stuff that they can only find in the south....so they took off in the late morning and Irmi & I stayed home with the pups, enjoying time with our books and laptops....then we were basically lazy and chilled....We've found that snacks and finger foods work great for cocktail hour and a light supper. So Irmi & Steve prepared buffalo style chicken tenders and deviled eggs and we did a bread bowl with dill, onion, dried beef, sour cream & mayo dip in it and dried beef wrapped green onions with cream cheese & horseradish.....we are so clever... ;)  So here are some photos of cocktail hour/supper tonight....enjoy.....

And then a couple photos of the food.

And a toast to all of you...

Spinner & Teddy were such good boys and patiently waited for anything that was left for them....they both are enjoying their own "Doggy GTG".....

Tomorrow is our last full day here, then Friday, Irmi & Steve start heading north toward MD & home.....Ernie & I are moving just down the road to "A Big Wheel RV Park" for a week, then on to Mayport Naval Station, FL for a couple weeks before we head North to PA.....we've so enjoyed our week with Irmi & Steve and hope to get together again, this summer, before we head west.....

Tomorrow we are doing brunch and then who knows...
