It's Spring!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Spring!

Postby Colliemom » Tue Mar 20, 2012 6:36 am

Good Morning Everybody,

Today is the official First Day of Spring by the calendar although for a lot of us, it's been here way before that. A beautiful morning for the first day of Spring here. Temp is around 54 degrees and blue sky. Sun has yet to peak up though. And I have hung out my official Welcome sign.

Image

This is the second in the seasonal series I am making. Will be starting the Summer one shortly. Soon as the ideas for the sign pop into my head.

For those of you who have been inquiring, Soos is at her trailer in St. Cloud so that her company can enjoy the house for a few days. She said that it is easier for her to get up and down there and move around than at the house. She still is not feeling much better and despite all our yelling and such for her to go to the doctor's, has not yet done so. She is on pain meds, but........

Sarah, glad you are feeling better. Like Liz said, just drive Magic up to the DMV and get her registered. Gonna have to drive in that traffic eventually anway and may as well start now. You know the town and I would think there might be a time period when things are not quite as hectic on the roads.

Liz, glad you made it to MS and that Sport is still rolling along. Once you get those issues repaired and everything checked over, you can start thinking about that trip to AK again. Also glad to hear that your insurance company has agreed to such a good settlement for you. One more thing off you mind.

As for me, I am heading to the Chiropractor's this morning and then later on, the dogs and I are heading north to Burt Lake State Park to do some walking in the park and visit with my Supervisor friend up there. Have thought about going over to Aloha State Park but not sure on that yet. Taking a day off from the work around here, not that there's much left to do anyway. I did power wash the back of the house yesterday and have to say it looks much better. It's on the North side of the house and seems to attract the dirt and such more than the rest of the house. Probably cause it doesn't get hit with the rains like the rest of the house does. Tomorrow I plan to do my porch area and that should take care of it. Then all outside work will be complete for this spring. Can't do anything more till grass greens up and mowing season starts. So plan to start a couple of signs and also put stuff away in the garage. In other words, just putter around.

So guess I will be off and see what's new in the other threads. Hope you all have a great day out there. If you are on the road, watch your weather and keep safe. If you are under the weather, hope you get to feeling better.

I'm up early, delaying going to work, because I couldn't sleep. All these changes in my life have been very stressful. I work on multiple projects at the same time, while supposedly acting like I know what I am doing. Yesterday, I got completely confused about which one I was working on. Customer must have thought I was nuts. Hopefully, today I will be more organized and sane. Wish I knew how to reduce my stress level better.

Blood pressure is also up, so I probably need to bump up my one medication. Not good to have high blood pressure. I completed my application over the phone for social security and the good news is that they are back-dating my application to Jan 1, so I can collect a little earlier than I had planned. That will help put the downpayment on my RV. Now I need to get my application in for Medicare and pick a Part C and D provider.

I need to go to the bank today or tomorrow and work out the financing. Also need to get back with the salesman at the dealer about a couple of things. I really want a different mattress if I can get it so I don't have to put a topper on it. Plus the awning is not electric, so I am hoping that can be added.

Supposed to be 81 today, which is really nice--tired of Michigan winters. Hope everyone is enjoying such nice weather today.

Good Morning Ladies... I have this song running through my head: Oh what a beautiful morning, Oh what a beautiful day, I have a sneaking feeling Spring has arrived today... now come on had to make you all smile!

I see Echo and Kelly made it to see that wonderful grandson... I bet there were lots of hugs and kisses going around!

Sarah you made my day... maybe you should drive out in the evening and camp in the DMV parking lot then go in early and stay until traffic is gone before you go back to the camp... as Liz said WE ARE WOMEN...

Glad to see you are having a good trip Liz... love all of the wonderful birds and flowers... I love dogwoods! I have a red bark dogwood (bush) that has been moved several times so it is very stunted but still gives a few flowers...

Oh my Sue what a great welcome sign... you can go into business make signs all winter and go camping and sell them... how about that for a lot of work...

Oh Judy change is very hard... it is a major stressor... take care and breath deep!

I have not even set up the tv here at Cliftwood... it is so much cooler with all the trees... that is the positive part but the negative is the pine needles and worms... Molly and I went to Sweet Bay and the true dollar store yesterday... there is a grassy area for Shadow to do his business just across the street... I can ride my trike while he sniffs every blade of grass...

I have enjoyed my coffee now it is shower time... have a great day everyone...

Welcome spring! The dogwoods and azaleas are bursting out here already. Butterflies are plentiful and several spring birds have arrived already. Of course the temps here are more like summer to me. 90 again today! Yesterday was in the upper 80s but it didn't bother me as I was at the ocean all day. Stopped to visit with Lori and Irmi before heading home. Was so tired I just showered and went to bed. Am about to shower again in hopes that the hot water will help loosen those sore muscles from yesterday.

With spring comes the busy season here so I will be very busy for a while. We have every cabin full and 2 rv's in the park besides the workcampers. All the cabins check out this morning and we have every one checking in this afternoon so I will be the Queen of the Laundry today. And so it will go for the next 5-6 weeks until I leave here. Frankly, I like it busy as the time goes by quickly. Soon I will be at the end of my 2nd camper job and after taking the month of May off I will be starting my next adventure in workcamping. More on that later.

Glad to see that Echo got to Dollywood and that Liz is back on the road and adding to her blog again. I just love to read her posts. Enjoy spring everyone!

Good morning !!! I love your sign, Sue, its so bright and cheerful. Made me want to pop in here and wish everyone a really good day. I need to be heading out the door soon, blood work to be done, plus, then a mass of errands, and later today, Maggies dr. visit.. Going to be a very long day in town. Quite a drive so will have to just mess around from one app. to the other.

So sorry, Judy that you are suffering through such a stressful time. Take some deep breathes, then calm yourself , try not to let a mistake throw you for all the other things you need to attend too. Stay calm and keep taking those deep breathes . Everything will be ok, very soon and you know you can deal with it all.
I wouldn't take more meds, without dr.s say so, you may run into trouble you can't deal with well. Good Luck, this time too, shall pass.

Kathleen, you're up bright and early. I remember the trees and worms, UGH , one reason I moved from Fl., during the summer months all kinds of creeping and yukky things pop out, and on ya, if they can. Oh my, skin is crawling , just thinking about it ,

Have a great day everyone, I must get moving. Those on the road, stay safe and Liz, I sure hope you can stay ahead of any storm. Hope those in the storm area, will all be safe, take care !!!

My everyone's up early! Gonna have some coffee, shower, and head to hospital for son's surgery. They had to be there at 6;30, said I would be along! Ladies, its may not be the traffic in hunstsville that is the main problem taking the mh there. In Bhan they have closed all the courthouses but the main one downtown due to budgets, I dont know how theyre doing the bought out of state inspections there, because there is no place to park! It occurred to mr last night I was sleeping with thewindows open the last day of WINTER! What crazy weather, havent had the news on yet to see our Texas friends got any bad weather. Everyone have a good day, safe and FUN. Wendy

Waiting on the weather to hit here this morning. Sounds like San Antonio and the Hill Country got hit last night. We are under a thunderstorm watch and flash flood watch right now. Both will probably be upgraded to warnings as the day progresses. I'm just glad it didn't happen on the weekend while I was traveling. And I hope that for our friends in trailers, the warnings were no more severe than what I went through last week.

The good thing out of the bumpy weather is it's supposed to be cooler by Wednesday.

I hope the wildflowers last another couple of weeks. I will have my niece and my mom in TX for Easter week - taking my niece and her friend camping out at Pedernales Falls then McKinney Falls State Park - so we will be hitting the Austin area. Mom will be staying with her sister in Marble Falls.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Sure seems funny to be on eastern time again after 3yrs of mtn central time. I'm in here with all the early birds! Haven't done a blessed thing this morning. I'm sitting on my butt swilling my own homemade coffee and loving every minute of it. Door is wide open and I don't have anything more than my panties on! :o Need to get dresses and take Shade out for her morning P. Plus sit here to dang long and the manager just might be knocking on the door! Poor guy would never be the same if he caught me like this.

Today's temp is suppose to be 82 and then later in the week back to 70. That 70 will feel a whole lot better than the 82 seeing as how we don't have A/C at the moment. Got lots to do today after we get the trailer moved. We will be able to settle in and set up. There's a storage place just down the road and I'm gonna check availability and price on a very small room. Will be nice to put away stuff, especially winter stuff like our big furry winter blankets. When I go back up to Johnson City to get my wallet and Kelly's watch I will be taking my X-DIL's box with me and getting rid of that too. Kelly says she needs another air mattress as the one she has leaks and has to pump it up every night. Think I will get the thinner one this time instead of the dbl height one. That way we can still use our packed boxes to sit it on. Told Kelly I want her to turn her mattress around and put it along side the long wall instead of across the front. Then we will be able to set the TV up so that the both of us can see it. We have cable here and we might as well use it. ;)

Sue, that sure is a sweet sign. Sure makes me think Spring!!! I would like to pick up some of the small banners that welcome the seasons. And a name sign for us.
Soo's, wish you would get yourself to a doc and get checked out. The heck with the clinics and GP's. Find a gastric specialist who can actually do something for you. Your lower end problems have gone on to long and it's scaring me!!!!
Kath you sound quite happy with your move so it must have been a really good one. :D

Can't remember who said that they had stayed in the park before but you are right. It's a nice looking park. Will be checking out the showers at some point today after we move and get set up!! By then I am sure I will feel the need to get clean of the dirt and sweat!!

OK gonna shut up now and quit flapping my fingers at ya'll. Need to see what ya'll have been up to. Have a super great day at whatever your doing and where ever ya'll are at. Be safe everyone!!!!

Love to all

Adorable spring sign, Sue! You are so talented!

A slight warm-up here in SoCal. Upper 60's for today and low 70's tomorrow.

Slept in this morning but will be off to work in awhile. Then I have tomorrow off. Not sure what I will do yet...

Got my new bedding set yesterday and it is very pretty. Light green, dark green and white patterns of palm leaves. Need to replace my red window curtains now with something green to match.

Echo, glad to hear you are getting settled in now. What will you be doing at Dollywood?

Have a good day!
