Encino Grande, Goliad, TX

City and State: Goliad, Texas

Name of CG: Encino Grande

CG Website: None

Overall Rating: (on a scale of 1 – 10) 7 because the sites are really not level.

Pros: It is a Passport America with no restrictions. There are trees around many of the sites. But some sites are open topped. I like the fact that you cannot hear the 18 wheelers on the highway. You do get local traffic out front, but that's livable. There are some long term folks here, but no mobile homes here. This is located about 7 miles out of town off US59 and FM1351. They are full hook-up pull-thru.

Cons: I am on the end of the first row and my power coming up to the pole is wavering and sometimes is dirty. I haven't reported this to the Owner yet. The other site we have it is very clean power. There is not a shower house bathroom.

Comments: It is about 1 mile off the main highway of US59. Wish it would quit raining so we could enjoy it some more.

Rate: $ 15 per night or $ 120 per week using Passport America.

If you don't mind explaining...what is dirty power vs clean power as far as the electric supply you are/were getting at that RV park?

Dirty power will have spikes and dips in voltage or amperage that can do damage to your electrical systems.

Not exactly what you’re looking for, but the flowers were pretty. Bettie, the sweet owner who brought us candy, lives in the house across the field of flowers.

love the flower pictures! We are getting a showing of wildflowers out in the dryer part of the state too.

(also thanks, Maggie, for answering my question on 'dirty' electricity!)
