Good Morning All,

Just making a quick stop to wish you all a Cheery Good Morning. Just ate some cottage and bacan finished off with peaches. Now am heading off to wash hair and take a bath. Gym morning.

Had a beautiful day here yesterday, up to 80 degrees. I worked outside in shorts and T-shirt. First tiime for this year. Seems crazy. People are out enjoying the weather, working in yards, motorcycles are zipping up and down the roads, even found out some of our former park staff members, their friends and familes spnet a day at the beach yesterday. Nothing like getting sunburned at the beach in March, kids wading in the (cold!!) water and they were also out standing on the ice too. Ther's one for the record books.

I worked in my yard all afternoon and am done with yard work other than just running a rake through the mulch around my shrubs and bushes. So today after gym and lunch, I will power wash the house and then be done with all outside work till time to plant flowers in late May, that's only a couple of whiskey barrels full, and of course start cutting grass again. Deck needs to be painted, but will have to wait for better weather for that. Now I can just putter around and maye take a couple of little day trips before I go back to work. Nice

Good morning from sunny North Carolina, (for now). It is beautiful out this morning. I'm procrastinating, have worked all week end and just a wee lazy and slow this morning. Keep looking to see who is in the kitchen and no one. Everyone skip breakfast, or still laying in the bed?

I think I got tired just reading your morning post Sue. You are a busy woman, sound like you enjoy all that work too, good for you. I used to, now just chores to get through, so I can move on and play.

No real news from here, the usual, tomorrow, will go for test, for my dr. visit next Monday, the results I am a little anxious about . So I get them done tomorrow and will have to wait the rest of the week for the results, uuummmm.
I never have been the best on waiting or patiences Oh well, such is life.

Liz, your post on your blog this morning, tells the wonderful example of Sistahhood that is shared on this forum. A great organization has been formed here by some very good people, and I for one, am very proud to be a member . Thank you for posting of your experience, now we all truley know when we're in the valleys we sure have backup, to help us climb that mountain again.

On with the day here, its leaving me setting. Have a great one, everybody, so glad to hear Echo and Kelley are back where they have yearned to be for some time.

I'm late -- but I'm still playing catch up.

I had a great time on my trip to Caprock Canyons in the Texas Panhandle. Last weekend was rainy the first day and part of the second day traveling. And the wind blew all week - never even deployed the awning. I was afraid it would cause the Land Dinghy to really set sail. We did have a thunderstorm warning Friday evening but ended up being a non-event. It did however force me to begin my packing up for my return trip earlier than the last minute. I didn't have much to do Saturday morning other than hookup and go dump. From the time I woke up, it was only 1.5 hours until I was on the road - and that's with me doing everything solo which always seems to take longer.

For those in the TX area, I would definitely recommend Caprock Canyons. Even though the park was "full" most of the week, it did not seem crowded, unlike Palo Duro which was very crowded, being Spring Break week. And I think the canyon at Caprock is actually prettier than at Palo Duro - more like NM or Utah in the vividness of the colors.

I hope to have some pics to post later in the week. I did remember how to use my camera (barely) and did get a bit of a work out with it. I got some short hikes in, but had to really watch out for the heat even this time of year. It was in the mid-80s most days. I even had to run the A/C for the first time since upgrading it.

I started another class today - only this one and one more left. C'mon, July!

Was hoping to find a report from Soos. Has anyone heard from her?

I seem to be over whatever the stomach bug was and BP is still slowly getting back to normal from bout with dehydration. Other than lack of energy, all else appears okay. I'm eating and drinking anything I want now - actually probably a bit too much. Some of Liz's cranberry chicken planned for diner tonight.

We have another day of record high temps and pollen count. For those who could tolerate the extreme pollen it was a beautiful weekend; for the rest of us it was at least good to see the sun.

The title for Magic arrived in Saturday's mail. I waited in long line today at DMV to get her registered; no luck. Since it was purchased out of state, it must be inspected to verify VIN. No way am I going to unhook her, drive thru HSV traffic to DMV and take her back to camp ground! Looks like time to pull poor widow woman and try to get an inspector to the camp ground. Wish me luck on that one. In meantime, I had to pay for a temp (20 day) tag as the one dealer gave me in FL expires this week.

Nicky and I are dog sitting for few days so no trips to check on Magic - well, none with Nicky until lizzie leaves.

It's way past morning, but thought I'd check in. I've made it to MS, staying one day ahead of the storm front. Will leave early in the morning to try to keep ahead of them. Hope those of you farther west will be safe from bad weather.

I finally heard from my insurance company with an appraisal report. They are totaling out the Roadtrek and giving me a good settlement, so it was worth the wait. The at-fault insurer is claiming responsibility and I will get my deductible back too. So things are looking up there.

When I get back to Florida, my "new" RV, "Sport" will need some work. Generator service, and or repair (quits running under load), some kind of leak when hooked up to city water (probably dry-rotted/cracked hoses due to non-use), general full service.. oil change, etc. Also having Maxx Air vent covers installed. None of that bothers me because I am aware it is a 2009 RV and has been sitting unused for several months.

Driving this longer by comparison rv is no problem, and backing is easy as well, so I'm happy about that.

Dogwoods, Redbuds, and Azaleas are all in bloom along my route. Beautiful as the TX wildflowers.

Sarah, just take Magic on down there to be registered. If I can do Houston rush hour, you can do that...we are women!

Good thing you are ahead of the next weather front, it looks like it could be bad. It has been very windy all day here. We could get more flooding rain tomorrow and Wednesday.

I think you will enjoy having more room and C's aren't harder to drive than the vans. I feel the wind in both my van and motorhome so just have to slow down a little. Hope the repairs are an easy fix. The generator probably wasn't run like it should have been. Maxx Air vent covers are good to have so you can leave the vents open and not worry about rain or the wind breaking them.

Yes, Sarah, just drive on down to the DMV. After driving HWY 59 through downtown Houston going and coming from Mustang Island I feel like I can go anywhere. Before cell phones and when I was traveling with kids I always took interstates and main roads because I felt I could get help if I had trouble. Now I have to think hard about the interstate but after I'm on it for a while I get use to it. Going West from here it's hard to miss Houston.

I was going to put my poor ficus tree back outside today but changed my mind because of the wind. I would have to tie it to the porch to keep it upright. Guess it will have to wait a few more days.

Liz, if I had known exactly where you were along the route, I would have had my son Steve check up on you and see if you needed any help. He left this morning at 5:30 AM on his way back to Panama City and called at 6:00 PM to say that he made it home. Carolyn, he honked at Butte LaRose as he went by but he knew you would be at work.
