Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy St. Paddy's day to all...Hoping Soos will take everyone's advice & see a doctor. Falls can really do some damage & having a doctor check you out is better than suffering & not knowing what's going on....
Was especially surprised & glad to see Echo post today. I'm amazed at how little time it's taken her to get so far....forgot she was a long haul driver..but still... Happy for her that she gets 'family time' in person....gotta be a great reunion for all.
Here on the west coast it is cold...raining & storming...and cold. We certainly need the rain but I sure hate the cold....especially when some of you have 70 & 80 degree weather....jealous of you of course.
Anyhow, whatever the day brings as far as weather is concerned...enjoy the day, be safe (& warm)...and try some of that green beer being sure you have something green on too....

All righty now----I called my son and Melissa when I realized I had lost my wallet, on top of the pain and company coming tomorrow! They came over, bringing some pain killers, helping me move stuff back into order after I looked from about 8:00 am on for my wallet----took things apart about 5 times. I had finally decided I must have tossed a bag I got at Publix the last time I shopped and that nobody would ever find it and be able to use it as they mash the trash here. My bank accounts and credit cards showed no action, so I felt pretty sure nobody had picked it up. I also called Publix to see if anyone had turned it in. No dice, so about then I broke down and just sobbed----which hurt my ribs more!

Anyway, after looking into the one bag I had already looked in 5 times today, Weldon found the wallet in the one outside pocket I didn't check!! I had already called my Chase Credit Card to get it replaced, as I needed a valid credit card to replace my driver's license. They were wonderful and told me I should get the new credit card by Monday or Tuesday. Glad I didn't call any more places to cancel things out! Now I need to write down all that info as I knew I should have a long time ago.

I had the kids feel my ribs, and nobody could feel any broken ends or slippage of loose ends, so I decided to wait it out and just use the heating pad they brought and the pain cocktail, which One of the ORSers told me about to try. I am already so very much better now that I have my wallet in hand!

I suspect about three to four cracked ribs, with no loose ends, and it will take forever for them to feel better, as I only too well remember from the last time I did this. Very little swelling, some bruising, but nothing alarming that needed an ER visit. If I take it easy, I should be fine by about November! Hitching and unhitching the trailer will be out of the question until healing of sorts takes place.I promise to go to the doc if things don't get slowly better after a few days. As someone said, they would only tape me up and prescribe me some pain meds anyway, and, what with x-rays, say "Yep-----you have a couple of broken ribs so take it easy" and charge my insurance company (if I could find an x-rayer allowed by my company) thousands of bucks. I am giving myself a few more days.

First I am going to get Dinah in, feed both dogs, and try to get into some comfy position to allow the pain killers and heating pad to work their medicine. Hope all is well out there on the roads...I am off to bed to see if I can get any sleep.

I think you should go for an x-ray too Soos, you have Medicare ir won't cost you anything. Also I don't know what kind of pain cocktail you took along with the pain meds you were already taking but that isn't safe.

Soos...Just my two cents worth again, but after two boys in about every sport imaginable and many injuries...don't just use a heating pad. Usually ice packs are suggested. I know it's not the same comforting feeling as that heating pad. But usually you're suppose to follow the RICE routine...Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. Heat will increase the swelling.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Spent another boring evening here at Sun and Fun. NOT! After gorging on tGM's dinner of corned beef and cabbage, went down to the pool area to watch a group of kids do Irish dancing, then on to dancing, wining and sitting around the table talking with everyone. It was a crowded and fun filled evening. We didn't breakup til after 11pm. Then I had to bicycle back to my site pass a lake with a "friendly" alligator . I'm glad I didn't become a midnight snack  tGM had one too many last week and lost his glasses when he lost his balance riding home  carold

"friendly alligator" ... isn't that an oxymoron?
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Soos - you really should get checked, although they don't recommend taping ribs anymore, maybe a compression belt. DBF broke 9 out of 12 ribs last summer when he ran into a curb on his GoldWing and went over the handlebars and hit a tree. He didn't have loose ends but they were definitely broken.
