While my rig now has a 1500 watt invertor, I'm (right at the moment) using the little 300 watt one - which is keeping my coomputer charged. I wouldn't use the invertor much when you are just sitting - as it will be pulling from your batteries. So watch how much you do then. I purchased this one to use when on the road to keep everything charged. And now even use it sometimes like now - as there's no reason to turn the big one on. This one will take care of everything I need to charge. I save the big one for things like vacuuming (which I only do on sunny days when using solar - as it really pulls from the batteries.) But having one of these little invertors is great. Mine makes a god-awful horrendous noise when connected to the plug to the engine battery and turned on if the vehicle isn't running. I didn't know that when I bought it but like it - as it's not going to let me run that battery down on error. Right now, it's plugged into the new 12 volt outlet I had installed when I had the solar installed. Like others the only ones I had in the rig were not easy to get at - actually I think the only one was back behind the tv.
