Hi Sunny,

I live in Central FL and plan on continuing to work a few more years. RVing is limited to at least a long weekend trip each month and about four longer trips spread throughout the year in a small TT. I look forward to reading more of your adventures.

Hi Sunny,

Welcome to the forum. You will love it. A great bunch of ladies to get to know. I have been enjoying reading about your trials and tribulations of getting ready to "hit the road" and sounds as if you are moving right along. Love the ideas you have for making your MH, your new home.

I have a small TT right now. Only been towing one for about two years now. Still living in my S&B in Michigan here. Been around the camping thing all my life with Girls Scouts camping in tents, then got my own tents, camped with my folks now and then in a pop up camper, van and even in the back of a pickup truck. Decided to try tTT thing and have enjoyed it so far. Am hoping ot eventually go into something a bit bigger. Planning a big trip out West for summer of 14". Not retired yet,but only work summers for one of our local state parks here so I guess you can say I'm semi retired. Kind of chew over the full timing thing for awhile, but those decisions aren't made over night.

Looking forward to hearing about your travels as you venture around the country. Ever make it to MIchigan, give me a holler.

Hello Sunny, I'm new here too but wanted to welcome you as so many of the ladies also welcomed me. I really enjoyed your post about how you have gone about getting to this point. We have given 'full-timing' some thought and I do believe we would like it, BUT still thinking...we have our house but also horses and cows and really enjoy them so need to work around that. Still very interesting to read about what all you have done to learn about your rig and how to care for it, personalizing it, and all that you have done. Very best wishes on this new lifestyle and hope to see you around here lots more!

Sunny, There are a couple members that are in your neck of the woods right now. They don't get on here as often - will pm them with this thread and maybe you can meet up.

As to parks, etc - you'll find they are not all created equal - even membership parks. I almost purchased a membership in one - happened to stop by one of their parks, and it was not one of the parks I'd want to be at - where as the other of their parks I had been to was beautiful, this one needed tons of tender loving care, and obviously hadn't been getting it. While it had a pool, I wouldn't have gone in it with a 10 foot pole. That said - I'm not saying you shouldn't have joined. Several here have different memberships and they wouldn't be without them. Just saying - don't expect them to all be the same - and beware of promises made! As to $400/mo - you'll find if/when you travel east, that will be a rate you'll wish you could find more of. Depending on where you are - there are parks over $1000/mo - amazing, eh? That's what started me boondocking :) But, I must admit, a few years back, when my back was bothering me, I looked for a park with a whirlpool and spent time every day for the week I was there in it. Ah, that's the freedom of choice we have.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your renovations - they sound wonderul.

HI Sunny. Welcome from another Oregonian. I live in Southern Oregon but am working up in your area in Lebanon. Your not going to believe this but I just moved from the Blue Ox RV Park to the KOA. I got tired of the "cement city". Even tho I was only there for a month. I left March 5th. I am much happier at the KOA, no indoor pool tho for ya. I love the trees and wildlife over here, and it is family owned and they are very nice. Pay a bit more per month but everything is included, electric, expanded cable. It is a bit wet over here right now....duh...nothing but rain since I arrived but the sun is peeking out today. They are busy installing a drainage system so it is a bit torn up right now but heck I'm easy.....well maybe not real easy.

Another member lives in Salem so maybe we could all get together one day for lunch or something and catch up. Maybe a GTG this summer for sure. A couple of the Washington gals and us are thinking maybe Rogue Valley State Park for a get together late summer.
