Fell in a Goldfish Pond

Postby Bethers » Sat Nov 29, 2008 2:32 pm

Well, I up and did it. Was walking Peaches and we stopped to visit a friend here in the park. He has a goldfish pond in the back and I was trying to get Peaches to go swimming in it. She, of course, was being very inquisitive, but was not even attempting to put a paw in. So, I decided to show her - and I stepped onto one of the rocks in the pond - and it, of course, was slipperly, down I went. Peaches stayed on dry ground looking at me like I was nuts. So did my friend - who I'm sure will pass the story all around the park.

The goldfish just swam to the other side of the pond - who knows what they thought of this crazy lady :)

:P Out of the wet clothes, but still need a shower. Although we're going to a seafood restaurant - no one would probably notice. Ya think?

Are you sure this wasn't from being around Sparkle?

Glad to see you are well enough to go swimming and fishing at the same time, Beth!!

And, I will have to agree with retiredhappy, even though I have only known Sparkle for a short time, that perhaps her 'aura' has surrounded you already!! :)

Have a great supper and visit with all who are there. Wish I could join you for seafood. I really miss fried clams and lobster here in the woods!

Sparkle's first comment when I told her about it at dinner - was "did you post it?" LOL

She's having puter problems, so doubt you'll be hearing from her right away - unless she gets it up and running.

I'll bet you were blushing afterwards!
Don't feel bad Dan knocked me off the dock by accident one year while we were crabbing in Westport WA. Funny thing was it was Walt my friend and some strange guy who was hauling me out of the water not Dan!!! Dan tells everyone he was trying to hold me down!!

3 Questions???

1) Where was Sparkle?

2) Where was Sparkle and her camera?

3) Did ya end up with round shaped bruises on your butt?

Oh darn! Got another question.

4) Is there any chance that Peaches is gonna learn to talk really, really soon?

So glad that nothing was broken and that you didn't hurt something real bad!!! Is it safe to say that only your dignity was damaged? ;)

Oh my, Echo, I don't let my dignity get bruised that easily :) - I just laughed as soon as I was down - before I even was sure if I was injured. Luckily I wasn't.
