Making Progress

Postby Gentleladybear » Sat Mar 10, 2012 8:25 pm

I have been putting some of my furniture on Craig's list for sale. Sold a bedroom suite, a bed, a chair, freezer and a couch, plus some smaller stuff. Slowly I am getting stuff out of here. Have someone to come in next week and paint the pool house. I have power washed the pool deck and wall. Will get some paint and slap that on while I am at it and make that look nice.

Hope all the other stuff I have listed for sale will move during this next week.

Now if I could get someone that wants to buy the house, then I am well on my way to being free of the sticks and bricks. Had to break down and mow the yard too, warm weather makes the grass grow. If you visit me now you would have to sleep in your motorhome. Or on a blow up mattress.

Sounds like things are progressing. Here's hoping you can find a buyer - soon.

Good thing me and Sarah came couple of weeks age. Don't mind a blow up mattress, but Sarah didn't have her motorhome yet and my car is a little small for sleeping! Wendy

I am impressed that you have managed to sell all of that on Craig's list. What a great thing. You know, I bet that will buy gas and get you out of FL. Keep selling and you will make the round trip.

Here is hoping that soon as you sell the last item and have the first showing that things start to roll and you are able to sell quickly. But don't overwork yourself take a day and smell the roses.

Best of luck!

I keep saying this will not fit in the motorhome...sell it. This won't work for decorations, sell it. No one visits without leaving with a few items. My nieces and nephews came from Michigan they left with a car full. If you need it, or think you need it stop here.

I also keep in mind if someone comes and wants this house I want to be able to pack and get out in a hurry and let them have it. So if this stuff is gone now, it will be easier later.

I have gotten a few scam responses from Craig's list but realize they are and stop them. Most of the scam things want to send cashier's checks by UPS. Why would you do that for a 10.00 item...NOT!!! Then they follow it up with they will send a representative to pick the item up. This all screams scam to me.

Yea for you Nan. Sounds like things are rolling right along. Now if the house sells, you can roll right out of FL.

I too have sold a lot of stuff on Craigslist, but depending on what it is I am selling, I will put my terms down as Cash Only and that usually keeps the scammers away.

Best of luck to you and keep chugging :) or maybe I should saying 'chucking"

Chucking is a good term. Started in the pool house today, got it ready for the painter to come in and start. Wow what happened to 10.00 a gallon paint? Got the color I want and paint for the pool deck.

Talked to my son today and told him I would make a best guess as to what to keep and what to throw away. Put several of his household items on Craigs list today. I started putting that Cash only and hope that stop the scam mail.

If you need something stop by and shop at Nan's first. Oh Sarah found a different type air mattress you might like, it is actually a topper. Will hold on to it for you to try.
