A really cool Saturday !!!

Good morning Ladies, some of you might laugh at my thread title , now hush Sue, but you must remember I have been in Fl. where they were having a wonderfully warm winter. I am back home now and while temps have not been bad, this is cool ( 30 at 7 am, frost everywhere). I do not have my newer home winterized, so some concern there, and not liking the chill bumps all over me

I must go grocery shop today, but where to go is a puzzle. Last Friday it seems we had a tornado come through this area and took off roof of my favorite store, even Wal mart was closed for awhile, but my neighbor thinks some of it might be open again. To far to go to find out today. Quite a lot of damage, but no lives lost, Thank God. Wondering if my hairdresser is still open, sure need her. This all happened while Sarah and I, were dodging storms in her home state, gosh never realized how bad it was here.

Need water mostly, so will have to go shopping somewhere, as well people always dump a jug or more of chlorine down a well when they have pulled the pump up. Smells so strong, I'm even afraid to wash clothes yet. Think my hair is whiter this morning too

I have spent this past two days off and on, going through this pile of junk(called mail). You have to check each piece, for something that might be important and that is so time comsuming and boring. So its real fun times here. Hope you all have more then I do to look forward to today. Please post some happy things ok?

Good Morning Carol and everyone else... it is a bit cooler here this Saturday and will be in the mid 70s later... now that is good happy news for you Carol...
One week and I will pull out of Wandering Oaks...
I talked to my daughter Jackie yesterday and she is very upbeat... so glad for that... she should know the results of the lump Monday...
My granddaughter will find out the sex of her second child this week...
My son gets back from Columbia tomorrow but Mark will be there two more weeks...
Wow the lives of our children sure become busy...
I trust you will all have a great Saturday no matter where the road takes you...

Carol, it is cool here in my part of Texas. Just in the upper 50's. We have been basking in the upper 70's and some days lower 80's. Got a really nice thunderstorm last night and then it pelted rain. Birds woke us up singing the spring mating songs. What a beautiful sound.

Carol you may have to move out to the rig and live for a bit. That would help keep things warm. Water in the fresh water tank so no need for the hose. Just need power and push comes to shove you got the genny. Put the electric heater on and enjoy being away from home at home!! Seriously, I hope that you find your home town recovering from the storms and that all is well with folks.

Kathleen, I can't believe that your winter stay is nearly over. Be safe when you start moseying back north. I trust you will find things well when you get home.

Well we are in for another 2 days of rain and then some sun. Moving down the road today and I see Liz out there breaking down camp so guess I better get started with Suite Pea. We will be in a really quite area, I think, in the new park. If you are on the road be safe, if you are parked have fun.

Good Morning Ladies,

Time to check in before the morning is over here. Just finished giving my house a good cleaning this morning. About once a month I do a good deep cleaning and the rest of the time, it's hit and miss. So that's done for awhile now.

Sun is trying very hard to stay out here this morning as a warm front comes through. Carol, I'm not saying a word about your cool morning 30 degrees. I mean well, I know it's cold for you and.... But I am sorrt to hear that a tornado went through your area. I knew they were having some, but the ones that hit IN were taking all the publilcity, and not much was mentioned about others. Be thankful that it worked out you went with Sarah instead of heading for home otherwise. God works in strange ways.

Liz, sorry to hear that you are going to have to give up Simba, but as you said, he would probably be better off going to a quieter home that doesn't move around. There will be another dog for you when the time is right. Also hope that insurance company comes through for you.

Nothing much planned for the rest of today. Going to put the first coat of Poly on my new Spring Welcome sign today, so it's almost all done. First day of spring is just a bit over a week away, so the timing is good. Will post a picture when I hang it out, on the first day of spring. Dogs are already bugging me for a walk, but I told them it's too early Not even noon yet. They keep it up, pretty soon we will be going twice a day. But then maybe that's thier plan. I do see them kind of nosing each other once in awhile and looking at each other, probably deciding on how best to talk mom into doing something.....

Well, off to look into some lunch and get out that can of Poly. Dont forget to turn your clocks up an hour when you go to bed, for those of you who are on Daylight Saving Time. Drive safe, those of you who are on the road. Have a wonderful day, the rest of you.

Well, it is WAY past morning but thought I would jump in here anyways.

Had the day off so I got some things done around here. I found some "pet-proof" window screening material, so I rescreened my bedroom window with it today and it looks really good. I also redid one of the other bedroom windows. Also need to do the sliding screen door for my roommate, as that one is tore up by their cat. So far, Lola is not happy about not being able to jump thru the window to get outside now. Hopefully she will get over it soon tho.

Worked on some other little projects, and got online to order a new bedding set and a new larger TV that was a good deal being it is refurbished. My little 19" is just too small to see it very well, so this one is 32" with a higher quality picture. Will be much better in the bigger room I am moving into, especially for watching movies.
