A Cold Good Morning from the 45th,

Another coldw wntery morning upon us this morning. -12, which I think is the coldest it's gotten down to this winter. But it will be only night this cold. By tomorrow, the winds are to swing to the southwest and start pumping in some much warmer air. Highs predicted into 40' sand even some low 50's. That of course will start melting down the snow and creating some flooding conditions and standing water here and there. Ah, spring in Michigan. One never knows what's next. There's an old joke here that says "if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change".

Sure was nice seeing all the pictures of the TX GTG. They look like they were enjoying themselves. Nice to be able to put faces to names. Beautiful pic of the entire group with their sign. Who made the sign anyway? It certainly is a work of art.

A busy morning on tap for me today. Tessa is heading to the vet for a dental cleaning. We must be there by 8:30, so will be getting ready to leave in a bit here. She can't have food or water now, so I've picked it all up. Sassy unfortunately will have to wait till I get Tessa in the car and then she can the water bowl back. After I drop Tessa off, then I have an errand to run and off to gym class. Will pick Tessa up sometime later this afternoon. Hope all goes well for her.

Thanks for those lovely pictures Doris and also the ones you have been submitting Betty. Love looking at them and reading about your everyday doings where you both are.

Congrats on the condo Judy. Now if everything falls into place, you shall be all set to head out come summer. This should give you some time to relax a bit and not have to be so rushed clearing out stuff and making a decision as to what MH you want.

Well folks, I have to get moving here. Hope you all have a wonderful day. I know the cold front is moving through the southern states and elsewhere today, so keep warm.

Good morning all

Carol & I fought high winds again yesterday but otherwise had a relatively easy day. I'm in Huntsville but have not been home yet. Actually barely in Huntsville as I decided to put Magic in a campground at far south end of town. Rented the space for a week tho I will not be staying in Magic all that time; just needed a place to park her until I figure out something better or the place I'm wait listed to store her becomes available. Carol decided to spend the night as well (she did not want to drive any more in wind) but will be leaving this morning. My dog sitter friend will come get me around mid day so I can go home, take care of some business, pick up mail and plot "what next".

Magic has started every day since leaving Wandering Oaks in Ocala. Hope that continues.

Sure was cold past two nights in Magic but no more below freezing temps in forecast after today. Still cannot turn heat on without setting off alarms so relying on little space heater for what warmth I can get.

Local news says 79 homes destroyed here in Fridays tornados; one of those belongs to my cousin's sister-in-law. Power has been restored to all but about 300 homes. So far I have not heard of any damage in the end of town where I live other than downed trees.

Wishing all a safe day and keeping fingers crossed that Carol will not have too much wind to deal with as she heads for NC.

Good Morning everyone... it got cold here last night... I stayed in bed until the temp inside was 64 so I did not have to turn on the heater... it got down to 46 in the MH so must have been cold outside... burrrrr...
Yesterday I took the things down from above the cab and folded up the bed... put the TV and DVD player and Wii up on top... much better arrangement I think... it is growing on me...
I like to be inside and by myself a lot except for garbage runs and paying rent... that is my choice... there are many changes that I am planning to make this year so need planning time...
My friend may come over today not sure yet... she has moved back from the forest so she is closer... my friend Debbie will be back in Sportsmans cove soon... I do miss her but we chat on the game of scrabble when we play... actually it is leaving messages...
So glad to see Sarah posting... sounds like she is doing fine and with the wind test she has a lot under her belt for a newbee...
I trust you all will have a great day...

good morning ladies, well my car is back up and running. Praise the lord! Need to get Gracie to the vet, she's
really breathing poorly. Lots of coughing and hacking and really into the very insecure attention thing.
Suppose to be 80 degrees today, that will certainly feel good.
Time for breakfast, I'm starving!! Ya'll have a great day and be safe

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Sarah, so glad that you are home safe and sound. A bit thank you to Carol for going along with you to AL so company and support!!!

I am slowly getting things done here trying to get prepared for our trip home. Have forked out some money getting things changed, ie. oil, tranny fluid/filter etc. The poor guy working on the wiring for the brake lites and turn signals is about frustrated enough to start pulling hair out!!! I think we are about ready to run new wiring all the way from the &*$%%## truck ele plug to the the &*%#^& lites on the back of the trailer. And if they still don't work right I'm pulling out anyway! Simply don't have the money to spare to take it to an RV place to have them do it. GRRRRRRR Figure I can sneak it home as I wont be driving after dark and once in TN David can fight with or rewire the trailer. Going to a auto repair place today to see if they can figure out why the blasted truck stalls on my when I'm at a very low speed crawl as in pulling into and out of a parking spot. Never ends!!! Only just a little more sorting and whatnot and will be ALL DONE! Kelly has been on a cleaning frenzy for the past week. At times I have been in fear for mine and Shade's life. The manager from our soon to be home campground called yesterday to let me know that our new spot is empty and that we can move in any time. Kelly and I went to St George day on Saturday and i'm pretty happy with what seemed like good gas mileage over and back. Guess I should have recharged the air filter sooner!

Kelly's getting around as she has a doc appt at 10:30am. Get her back on birth control so that she can get regulated again and also to get her foot/feet taken care of hopefully so that she can wear regular shoes!!! If we can get her feet taken care of even she might get a job at Dollywood as long as it doesn't screw up her workamping!!!

OK, gonna go read and see what all you've been up to. Hope everyone has a super good day and please as always, remember to be safe.

Love to all

Good morning all!
I had such a fun time yesterday at the beachs in La Jolla with my roommate's daughter watching sea lions and feeding squirrels! It was such a gorgeous day! Today will be about the same weatherwise with a few more clouds. Have to work this afternoon tho.

Echo, you might want to check the idle on your truck. It might be set a little low and that is why it stalls when you are going slow.

Been checking rentals out here some more. There are a few fairly affordable places but they are way out in the boondocks or up in the mountains and an hour's drive to work. Around here, even the studios are pushing $1000 per month once you add in the utilities, etc. I just can't swing that. So if I stay out here, I will have to continue to just rent a room from someone. I might try to come up with enough money to fly to Florida this summer to visit my girlfriend and check things out there for next fall.

Time to get up and moving around here. Gotta do a load of laundry before work. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
