Sixth Anniversary Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sixth Anniversary Sunday

Postby txyellowrose » Sun Mar 04, 2012 8:41 am

Good morning everyone!

Having had a good sleep, I was awake and up a bit before 5 AM this morning.

Today is our sixth wedding anniversary! No big plans - Dave is off to meet up with the cycling club and I'll throw something on the grill this afternoon. Other than that, it's enjoying each other's company.

You can share our wedding day via my blog post this morning http://phoenixonceagain.blogspot.com/2012/03/march-4-2012-sixth-anniversary.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PhoenixOnceAgain+%28Phoenix+Once+Again%29

Here's a sampling . . . .

Okay, I'm attempting to entice you with a bit of liquid refreshment there . . . :D

Have a safe and groovy Sunday wherever you are!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BETTY AND DAVE!

Looks like a real celebratory breakfast to me! Would love to join you in a toast! A toast with toast sounds like a good Sunday breakfast to me!

It was good to hear from Pete in the ORS chatroom last night and get caught up on a few things going on at the GTG, like Liz and Beth walking their furkids with jackets on. At least we could know that those two seem to still be alive and moving about, which is more than we know about anyone else, other than Alice and Pete. Jacket weather it seems to be out there, with mosquitoes as big and plentiful as divebombers. I am still waiting for some pictures!

The cold front came through here at about 4:00 am this morning, and the sound of the wind and pelting rain got me up to close the glass doors to the screen porch. Unfortunately, the rain was much too short a storm to do us much good in this drought area, but the ground is wet at least. Now the winds are kicking up even more with the temperature at least 20 degrees cooler than this time yesterday. Dinah is tied out in the yard and wanting to come in already after her breakfast, so off I go to get her. Here's hoping that Sarah and Carol will get to their houses and find them still intact after this horrendous storm front that devastated so much of our midsection these past few days.

Looking forward for some news from many people today, including PICS!! (Hint hint!)

Happy travels!

Beautiful wedding and pictures!Thank you for that. Thanks for the news about the Tx GTG, Soos. I didn't get home until after 6 last nite, Chewy was at that socialization class. It was fun and informative, but geared more to trainers than dog owners, but if my trainer starts these classes at least I'll know what's expected of both her and Chewy. Really impressed with the speaker. Back to day 2 of the class today. Weather is gorgeous, but supposed to start cooling down tomorrow again. Gotta run, have a great day everyone!

Good Morning everyone,

First thing on the agenda is to wish Betty and Dave a Happy Anniversary. May you have many more. Soos, glad you got some rain even if it wasn't much. Better than none i guess.

It's a beautiful sunny mornng here. Gave me a chance to get out and see what the world looks ilke after the big snwstorm of the weekend is fianlly done and gone. Wow, all I can say is lots of snow piled up. Went down to the little town of Waters near here and got some eggs, picked up a Sunday paper and took a drive around the road where our old house is just to check and see if everything looks okay over there. We had that place for 39 years and all around it are tall red pines that have kept growing and growing and now stand at around 200 feet tall. They are very thin as they get closer to their tops and one year we had a heavy 15 inch snowfall causing about a half a dozen of them to crack off and come down, fortunately mssing the house. The people who bought the house told me that they too had a couple come down one year. So given all the snow that's on these trees right now, I wanted to check to make sure all was okay. The people who bought the place live downstate. All's well. And while I was at the store, I bought fresh batteries for my camera and was able to get it working, so here are some shots from my yard and road this mornig.

I've given up tryinhg to clear my deck anymore. Just too much wet heavy snow to do it and it's going to warm up anyhow, so it will eventually melt

Not much on my agenda today. Kind of tired after cleaning up from all the snow, so think I am just going to veg today. Will take the girls out for a walk later and explore the neighborhood a bit, work on my Spring Welcome sign which is coming along very nicely. And yes will post a pic when it's done. Just finished a breakfast of egg and cheese omelet with some green pepper thrown in and some ham on the side. Having a glass of OJ at the present.

Good Morning Ladies... have had my coffee and shower... the sun is shining and the hard rains and strong winds seem to be gone for now...
Oh Betty happy anniversary your pictures are great...
Sue thanks for sharing that beautiful white stuff! better on here than in person...
Sarah and Carol are about an hour and a half from Huntsville... Sarah will camp in Huntsville and take her MH to the Ford dealership tomorrow morning... She sounds very upbeat and plugging away... It has been an interesting trip for her...
I will need to go out and pick up the things that blew around last night... those pesky clips for my table cloth (actually shower curtain!) keep getting lost in the grass...
It will be a jacket day here... hope you all have a great day and smile smile smile...

It's not a jacket day here - it's gorgeous outside. But I need to work on a paper and the laundry. I don't wanna!!! :( :( :(

I bought the stuff to do a backsplash behind the stove in the Land Dinghy yesterday. Maybe I will go work on that instead. Or I could give the Land Dinghy a bath. I need to get outside no matter what.

Recovering today from my crazy week. I accepted the offer that was almost my asking price last night. No more showings unless the appraisal does not work out and this deal falls through.

Sue, I love red pines. We had two at our cottage, but no where near as old as yours. Majestic.

I am more relaxed now and doing some dusting and other cleaning today.
