They have stopped for the night inside Alabama... the wind was too strong to go farther... the day went fine... Sarah's MH started fine this morning but she did not shut it off all day...

I hope they find a Ford dealer and get the problem fixed. Such a strange problem to have on a new unit.

Received a call from Sarah and she and Carol are well. They're about 2-1/2 hours from Huntsville and pulled over several times to keep an eye on the weather. She wasn't sure if they had internet where they are, so she asked me to touch base for them to say hello to everyone. Sarah's motorhome is running fine and has started each time. She even turned it off to refuel and didn't have any problems.

Those danged intermittent problems are the hardest to diagnose. I used to hate going on a service call and they would say...well, it doesn't happen all the time, just once in a while. Then of course when you got there, would it happen? Heck no! Sometimes it's better if it just quits, then you have something to work with and can start troubleshooting. Hope it either never happens again or quits completely. After she gets home, of course! It could be that it's starting fine now because she's driving it enough to keep the battery charged. Might be a different story after it sits for a couple of days, in which case I would start by looking at the battery. Doesn't happen often, but she may have a bad one.

They are in Gadsden tonight & will head in to Huntsville. As far as Sarah knows her home is okay even though Huntsville was hit once again. Magic started fine today.

Thanks Kathleen and Irmi, for informing our Sistahs for us. We are not far from Huntsville, in a park I have stayed at 3 or 4 times. It is really a mess, must have been terrible here last night. Not just last night, it is washed out in several areas and looks like they were reconstrusting and now that is messed up again or washed away. So glad our trip is going slower then planned. Now, if tomorrow will just be like reported we''ll be fine.

We haven't pushed hard, and even though weather has been a worry, we've had a good trip and except for taking a little longer to start the day or stopping a little sooner, we've kept moving. Maggie, appreciated the longer stop overs, we've enjoyed some decent meals and good conversation, and of course, some card playing. Sorry, we didn't get to play in Ocala while there. 3 or so hrs. were wasted for me, at that stop.

Tomorrow, Sarah should be home and can see if all is well at her homeplace. Had several ask me about my place, seems there might be reason for concern there, but hope not. Have app. for well people to come Wed. and hopefully I can go ahead with that :?

Thank you all for thinking of us,

CArol :)

Sarah had the RV place come check the battery, it was at full charge. They cleaned the terminals, the cables and reset them. This has got to be a switch or something that isn't always firing. There is only a click when she tries to start and can't. You can sit there awhile and it might start or use the emergency start and crank it right up. It left the people at the RV place scratching their heads. That is why they have suggested she visit a Ford dealership to have it checked, they may have run into this situation before. It is certainly an aggravating problem.
