Carol and I had a very relaxed day, mostly just visiting and gabbing but we did a little exploring and a lot of eating.
In looking around the park we found a marker I had not posted. The top of it (I cut off) should read Ditto Landing and.....

This is a city/county park with marina and small campground located on the south end of Huntsville along the TN River.
Huntsville has recently opened a new Veterans Memorial Park in the downtown area and we paid a quick visit there.

Then on to a different view of Big Spring Park (source of Huntsville's water supply from the early 1800s until the 1950s

Carol got her camera out

Then we decided to try a new eatery for a late lunch/early dinner

Servings were generous

and we had no room for desert

Today we are off to Guntersville and meeting Wendy (readytogo).

Sarah, was surprised in the visits I have made here that I had not seen the park, it is a beautiful place and huge , right down town. We had a lovely day, or I did, Sarah took me to a couple of her antique places, and I love seeing all the old stuff. Some I recognize and have used  All in all it was a really good day, the feast was sooooo good, doubt I am going to like the scales though :D

Off to Sarah and Wendy's favorite place to eat, Wow, more food, it will be nice to see Wendy, its sure to be another very good day here by the Tn. river.
Maggie says lets go see it and have our walk, Al. is always a fun place !!!!

I've read here that visits with Sarah are always a lot of fun and with a vast array of places to stop for a meal. By the looks of the desserts, I would have settled for one of those instead of the meal! LOL! Hopefully you'll have more pictures when you meet up with Wendy.

How fun! This has to be the "get-together-est" forum around!
Friends all over the country.

So glad to see both of you out and about. It's been a tough year for you both. And wow, what a feast. I might have skipped the dinner and gone straight for the desserts :)

Have fun with Wendy today...

And, yep, so much to do in that area ... never would have realized it had I not based myself out of the area my first few years.

Another fun GTG. I'm with Bethers, I would go for those desserts first, then the meal. There's always room for the entree. :D Carol, you looking well. Linda

Thanks for the great pics! Carol, you look fantastic, and I am sure Sarah looks the same, but alas! No picture of her! How nice to meet with Wendy now, too!
