DH and I drove down to Brazos Bend State Park and harassed Maggie and Mark for a couple hours. As we sat down Maggie adjusted coals on the top of a Dutch oven. A few minutes latter she served us delicious peach cobbler :P YUM. I need to learn more about Dutch oven cooking. She gave me a beginners book  Maggie said to tell everyone "HI" and that she is alive and doing well :P

Looks yummy. If the burn ban ever gets lifted in this part of Texas, maybe she will cook some for us at the Potter's Creek GTG. :D

You can NOT throw Abby out to make weight available for it!
You might want to consider that breast reduction though. :o :D

Last year my goal was to buy a trailer. This year it was to learn how to back up. Next year it is to learn how to make a peach cobbler in a Dutch oven. Looks delicious.

ROFLMAO!!!!

I love those small impromptu GTG's. You get more of a chance to really get to know someone. The big ones are fun, too, don't get me wrong, I love all of them. Now, if you really want to get to know someone well, go on a cruise with one of the girls as a roomie!!

My next question is...was there vanilla ice cream to go with that gorgeous peach cobbler????

No vanilla ice cream - my freezer is barely big enough for an ice tray!!! Mitch, the table is under 20 pounds - I don't know the exact weight. It goes in the back of the truck! And it's perfect for cooking with DO's. I'm planning on bringing the stuff to make it to the GTG - and I make it as low sugar as possible since Mark is diabetic.

And Red and DH missed the pesto chicken with fingerling potatoes that I made for dinner last night - I invited them to stay for dinner :D

It was good to see Red again and I'm glad to see she's recovering from her accident.

Oh yeah - it rained both Friday and Saturday - which made the mosquitoes really healthy.

And Red - saw the deer again this morning - they were down the way, away from the noisy family behind us.

Is that table especially for Dutch Oven cooking? What is it made of?

Carolyn - it's the Camp Chef DO table and is made of steel. I love it because I can cook right on it, starting the charcoal, etc. And it gets the DO's up where you can actually see what's going on instead of the fire pits in the ground. The legs and wind screen (not tall enough sometimes) come off and I store them in a camp chair bag and the table just slides in flat in the pickup. I have also been known to use the camp stove on top of the DO table just because.
