Is anyone planning to attend this rally? Have you attended one of their rallies in the past and what is your opinion of the event, entertainment and cost?

Hi Joan!

The Good Sam Rally's are a lot of fun. You need to make advance reservations because there is a large turn out. They have seminars you can attend that are very informative. There are meals you can sign up for or you can eat on your own. You'll meet lots of people from all walks of life and have a chance to visit lots of different types of rigs. I think you'd enjoy it.

I have attended 2 and LOVE them. Would go in a heartbeat if I was near one this winter at the right time. Was hoping for the one in AZ, but I don't think I'll be there yet. I recommend going for ALL the days - if you can boondock, the price is good. If you take an electric spot, well, that decision is yours if you want to spend for that - I boondock. Then get there early and find out all the seminars, and attend all you can. Some of them are awesome. And some not lol - But all were worthwhile. Lots of great vendors. And, of course, you can look at rv's and rv's, etc - even if you have yours now, always fun to look.

The entertainment is also great. Not why I go, but they get good entertainers and it's well worth it. I'd go every year if they had one at a time and place I could. I don't go to the smaller ones, but love "The Rally" - of which there are 3 this year.

Hi,

I am a member of Good Sam. The state chapter in Louisiana has a samboree twice a year. I have missed the three they had since I joined Good Sam. Hope to make one of them one day. I hear they are fun, too.
