Carold and I got together today for a visit and lunch. Finding a place for lunch out in the middle of nowhere wasn’t easy, though. The closest town from my cg is Carthage. The Italian restaurant the cg manager recommended we found doesn’t open until 3 p.m. There was a dubious diner down the street which we walked into...and out of rather quickly.

Driving down main street we finally spotted this place:


It was a long shot, but we saw several pickup trucks parked outside, so we decided to try it.


We both had their Sunday special....chicken parmigiana sandwich & fries. Neither of us got sick, at least not yet.


We had a nice visit & chatted about our travels. Carold & dh are heading to Canada next, so couldn’t talk them into coming to the PA gtg....too far off their route.

I'm glad yall were able to meet up and enjoy a lunch.
Don't worry about getting sick, Sharon is pretty far away.

Enjoyed my mini visit with Liz and her family And it really wasn't about the food-well, maybe a little First time I've seen her new home. Well designed with lots of storage. Love how she found a way to put the litter box away from the main area as well as the smaller table top. I know my memory must be slipping a little. On the way looking for a place to eat, we passed some beautiful old homes and talked about going after we ate to take pics. About halfway back to the campground Well, at least I didn't leave my glasses or purse at the diner carold

It's sure not a 'long shot' for GTGs anymore!
They seem to happen almost every week;
so fun to see!

So glad the 2 of you were able to gtg. And without getting sick. I'm laughing at the hosues, etc that didn't get looked at.

Loving this GTG. Those burgers look good.
