Hi, all...Boy,it's been a busy day....Well, it didn't start out busy....just the usual stuff on Sunday....waiting for the "honey wagon" and straightening up around the camp site...Getting chairs and tables arranged for the group supper this evening....Irmi and Steve came to our site for morning chat and coffee/tea...Then about Noon they went down to the group area to wait for folks to come in....I, too, headed that way as just after they left, the guy from the office came over to let me know that 2 of my party had arrived and that he had sent them over to their sites....WooHoo, Liz and Nan had arrived safely.......then awhile later, as it began to rain like the dickens....Shirlv arrived...good thing Irmi had an umbrella, as I needed it to zip over to guide Shrilv to her site....the office was closed .... During this time, Gary, from the office rode his 4 wheeler over to let me know that a lady named, Joan, had called and that she would not be arriving until much later tonight.....Unfortunately, there is no cell service here in the CG, so I couldn't call her back....so, I'm hoping she makes her way here....I feel so bad, but that's part of living Really, really, way in the hills and the woods....
Anyways, we yakked for awhile and laughed alot....then we had supper here at our site.... Boiled Blue Crabs, sloppy joes, tossed salad, chips, and Irmi provided dessert....of course, lots more chatting and laughing....I gave a couple items for a souvenir, but I'll let the others tell you about them...(Yes, it involved Flamingos and items decorated in pink... ) I took photos and am going to try to upload them to PB in a little while, but can't say when I can get them posted.....Paulette was up for the day, and took photos, so am hoping she'll post them tonight....So please, be patient, as I'm the only one that is getting out online and that's iffy at best....it may be Thursday before the total story will be told of this GTG....
Ernie's taking those who want to on the his tour of Gettysburg tomorrow....and those who have already toured are just planning to chill here....It's great to meet Nan, and to see Liz, Beth, Shrilv, and Paulette again....Margie and Pam/Buttons were here for supper, too....
Oh, I so hope this signal will let me post....Keep your fingers crossed... I'll try to post the narrative again tomorrow....
ON EDIT: Okay, my connection is not going to let me post photos here in the campground in the woods.. ..so, will have to wait until I can get out where it is better to do so...or until the others land at their next stop.... I'll try again tomorrow....but don't hold your breath....
