Kathleen arrived in North AL today. Should you wish to check it out, here's a link to the campground where she is staying (I think until Tuesday):

http://camp-honeycomb.com

Wendy (readytogo) came up from Birmingham for a few hours today. I was late getting over there due to not getting message Kathleen arrived a day early.
Don't know if either of them got any photos before I arrived; I only got one before Wendy had to leave. Notice I did get there in time to eat, love the slaw Kathleen makes.

After Wendy left, one of the camp workers came by and helped Kathleen level her rig. Then Kathleen and I drove up to Guntersville Dam. Sadly with all the new security, we could not walk over to the locks or the turbine house. Kathleen did take a couple of photos there. Maybe she will add them tonight.
Think we will do more sight seeing tomorrow. It is forecast to be near record high Sunday, followed by potential for a severe weather outbreak on Monday.
Beautiful out tonight. Wish I could have stayed at campground longer this evening and enjoy the stars with Kathleen.

Looks like Huntsville is becoming the place to camp. Will have to check out Honeycomb next time I get there. Camped near the grandkids this weekend. Next weekend off to support my nephew at his retriever trials and Easter with family in KY. What did I do before I got Horizon Seeker? Sarah, ya'll have a great visit and roast a marshmallow for me and the goddess!

Yippee, another mini GTG! I'm glad Wendy got to join in for a bit today, will she be able to come back before Kathleen leaves? One day, Sarah, one day, you'll be able to stay at the campground as long as you want in your very own rv!

No Wendy will not be back before Kathleen leaves as she is headed to the Gulf Coast tomorrow (AL spring break week and she has grandchildren). Kathleen changed her arrival to today so she could see Wendy before she headed south.

Loved the Honeycomb cg when there last summer. Great sunrises over the lake. And Kathleen has the best tour guide you can find for Huntsville while she's there! Enjoy!

These GTGs are too cool. Just think of all the friends we have all over the country (except in Sulphur, LA).
Have fun, ladies.

After Wendy left Sarah took me to the dam... but sadly they do not let anyone in now I believe since 9-11

We took what pictures we could...

Then there was the mountain... how beautiful is God's creation...

Sunday April 10 started out with me riding and Shadow walking and running for more than an hour... I knew Sarah and I were going later so had to give him his attention and exercise...
Sarah came and we left on a days adventures to see many sights...
As we were driving out we saw the beautiful mountains and Gunters lake a huge lake that goes for miles and miles and yes more miles winding its way between the mountains...

Two geese were by the shore and could not help but take their picture...

As we drove to Grant there were so many beautiful trees that it bought to mind this lovely poem by Joyce Kilmer;
TREES
I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree

Much more to come... but will have to do some things around the MH first...
