And what a great chat we have had already. Oh, yes, and Mitch, we had rice, baby lima beans and pork roast for dinner. (This far south I think it is dinner and then we will have supper in a bit.) Was it ever great!!! :P Got to visit Ronnie's radio room and see his toys. Bet he gets his Extra license for ham radio this year. Turned out beautiful today. Had a little blue sky and gorgeous sun...and as always we will take what the good Lord provides us.

What a great location they have here. Lots of nice trees, a couple of mouthy dogs to greet you and talk with you, and I swear the grass is wanting to turn gree.

Thanks Vicikie and Ronnie for your hospitality. It is truly the great South.

Hey Vickie's got company! And she came with a honking big RV.

Birdie, can I ask how big that RV is? And you drive her by yourself? I guess i'm looking for a confidence booster that I will be able to handle Foo Foo by myself too! Yours looks as long (or longer). I am taking her out a tomorrow for a drive around. And are you towing as well? I have an invite to friend's house to show off the RV. I want to be sure I am comfortable with her! I haven't driven her since i brought her home. Too chicken with the snow and ice on the ground. :? :?

My wonderful neighbor helped me get to Lowes to buy a big 2" thick board that's 8" wide and 12' long to put in the gutter to, hopefully, pick up the rig enough to not dig a new trench in the driveway. I hope it works. I'm going to drive up the road to a sports park (which should be mostly empty this time of year) and work on backing up and to get used to the turning radius.

Well, you two ladies have a wonderful time with your visit. Are you heading down to the FL GTG from LA? HAve a blast!

Li, if you look at Birdie's signature, it says 30' and I'm guessing she don't lie.

All good :) ...the flock is starting to gather up as it heads south....And Ronnie having a neat radio room may be another reason not to want to leave for FL :D I mean, we are interesting and all but I don't think we can compete with that! :? Birdie, glad you found a nice roost for the night and a good feed to boot! :D I am heading out tomorrow from Ohio and will probably make my first stop at the Escapee Raccoon Valley park just north of Knoxville.... It is a pleasant 4-5 hour jaunt and nice people upon arrival..... In packing today am thinking of leaving the kayak behind. I am not sure I want to mess in the cold with getting the rack on the back, etc. I will double check with Liz first.

I love all the mini gtg's that can happen on the road. This is even more fun, being on the road to a bigger gtg. Would be even better if that host and hostess would change their minds and follow you down the road :) I know, I'm just a dreamin'

Bring the kayak, Tina. We'll want to do the Silver River if the temps cooperate. Or, you can rent a canoe as an alternative. Supposed to be back in the 70s this week.

Glad to see signs that the migration to Fl is underway. Just jealous I'm not moving yet.
Know you will get a lot of good food there in spite of Mitch's comment. And who knows, maybe you can get Vickie & Ron to follow you on down the road.
PS - I don't remember Birdie's rig looking so large in ARK but then I missed the rig tour because I believed Mitch when she said it was cancelled due to rain.
