I'll be flying to AZ around the last 2 weeks of January. So anytime before or after is good for me except for a few dates in Feb. Don't really care where we decide to park. Agree that those are usually the coldest months in FL. Of course, something could happen like last year and I'm a no show  carold

I like the idea of the Silver River. Not opposed for a one day or one night trip to the RV show. I'd like the end of January. Whoo hoo another fun bout of stuff!! :P

I don't know where I'll be in Jan. Plan it and if I can, will come. The one reason I'd go to the Tampa area - is I've been to Silver River. I like going new places. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't go to Silver River. And I always like rv shows. Didn't see any entertainmnet at the Tampa show to make me care about spending the whole time there - probably a day would do it for me. But would go the whole time if others wanted and coming to FL works for me. I don't know if they have seminars, etc - but I always can find some of those to attend if they do.

It would be be easy to do a day trip to the RV show from Hillsborough River, and about 1 1/2 hr drive from Silver River. Some of us stayed an extra day or two last year to drive down. They do have seminars.

We need to set dates rather quickly & make reservations, especially for Silver River. Beth...you've been there, but you haven't kayaked Silver River....just sayin'.

True, Liz - and as I said, would go their again - or elsewhere - IF I came to FL - no promises here. That said, I doubt I'll be kayaking there in Jan, but maybe it'll be a mild winter. I am a fair-weather kayaker.

I'm more likely to head to TX - as I can find more boondocking spots there - and cheaper places to stay. However, I'd love to come to a FL gtg again.

Looking at several sites, most are not available until the end of January, think if we don't get names in there quick even those will be gone.

I'm game for wherever down there, especially if there are some pull-through sites! If no pull throughs, I am hoping one of you 'experienced' ladies will park for me! I will be coming from the St. Cloud area, trailer in tow, if I dare!

Yes there are several pull throughs but we need to decide on a date quickly.

For me the dates of 23-28 would work.

Alright, I have my vote for Thursday to Thursday or Wednesday to Wednesday and I didn't even consider the RV show. I expect I'll just mosey from way down in south Texas (Mercedes) and it will prolly take me about 4 or so days and maybe more unless I decide to just beeline. So tell me what day I need to start my time at the Park so I can "Just Do It"!

The 23rd - 28th is Sun.-Fri. You might be able to do Thurs. 20th - Thurs. 27th if you're willing to change spots....I haven't checked, but weekends are pretty full already. Or you could come in Thurs. 20th & stay at a different area cg, then come to Silver River Sun. 23rd. (For example in McIntosh, where Kathleen will be spending the winter) http://www.sportsmanscoveresort.com/
