Hi guys,
As we were keeping up with Liz on her travels, and we saw she was going to come through Baton Rouge on her way home, the Amazing Man and I got in touch with her and we met at the Bass Pro Shop in Denham Springs. We decided to eat at their restaurant, where Liz promply stole the bill and paid for our lunch. :x We were planning on paying for hers.
I was so excited to see her again and her beautiful Silver Lining that I forgot my camera. But, you all know Liz--she never goes anywhere without her camera. So will depend on her adding the pics she took of us and the food.
After a very good lunch, we wandered around looking at things and then went our seperate ways.
Hope you have a safe trip home Liz, and enjoyed seeing Silver Lining. Who is absolutely beautiful. Love her new ride--such storage in such a small place!!!!
Watch out Liz, we are gonna get you back at the GTG in Florida

Here are some pics of my day in LA.

Crossing the Mississippi River

Sharlotte, Amazing Man, and me in front of Bass Pro Shop....wow what a store! Aside from lunch, I managed to get out without spending any money.

Red Snapper was the "Catch of the Day"....very, very good.

I guess the others thought theirs was ok too.

Spending tonight in a NF cg in Mississippi. It has hookups & pull thrus and is a good stopover for those traveling to & from Texas on I-10. I've stayed here twice before. Road to the cg:

Once I get to FL, I plan to drop down to the coast and check out some state parks for possible GTG alternatives.

Looks like you are making good time, good campgrounds, good friends, good ride, and good future safe travels. Keep it all up. Looking forward to hearing your report on the rest of the campgrounds.
