Today was sunny and not so humid....thanks to the "Big Storm" yesterday.....We all took it easy in the morning....Paulette & I walked Bailey, Fred, and Spinner, after which we chatted over coffee & tea....Ernie ran to town to check the mail....(No GTG Banner yet... ) and to get a few things at the store...Then about 11:30am we took off for a tour of Cashtown, PA....where there are a few Civil War items and the famous Cashtown Inn.....then onto the Adams County Winery for a little tasting...we'll go back toward the end of the week to make some purchases.... Drove into to Gettysburg and found out that "Ernie's Texas Hots" was closed cause they were on vacation....so we walked to the town square and had lunch at "The Pub"....after which we walked around the square (which is really a circle or also called "a round-about"....) visiting a couple gift shops.....stopped at the local Eagles club...then a tour of the part of the battlefield where the Peace Light is located....Arrived back at the campground around 4pm....walked the dogs...then gathered at Paulette's for supper of Maryland Crab Soup....and a campfire.....
I tried to post some photos, but to no avail......and yes, we took photos of our travels today...but never fear, there will be photos....just not sure when....
Tomorrow, we're kinda' playing it by ear....but am sure we'll be doing something....Margie is going to give us our official Gettysburg tour on Weds....
Okay, that's all for today....will report again tomorrow evening....
