Okay, so thought it was time to Update stuff on the PA GTG....Cole Bros./Conewago Campground, 1507 Narrows Road, Biglerville, PA. 17307 (this is the mailing address of the campground for GPS purposes. also have GPS coordinates listed on a following map, but it is near a little town called Arendtsville which is about 8 miles NW of Gettysburg.).....July 25-31, 2010.
Attendees so far: Marilyn, Margie, & Pam ( those who attended last yr. met them.), Paulette, Pat (Fairlady), if she's healed enough, and a "trying" from Leslie (Legalady)...Shirl and Peggy can't make it because of last minute changes.
It's not too late to come and join in the fun....just let me know.
Tentative activities planned: Touring the Gettysburg Battlefield and area, wine tasting at a couple of local wineries, and a visit to Boyd's Bear to make your own darling "Teddy Bear". We'll firm things up on which day we do what on Sunday evening, the 25th, arrival day.
As you all know from my posts, internet is not available, except if you have an air card with an external antenna, but even that is like Molasses in January (really slowwwww), also cell phone service is out of the question at the campground, but never fear, there are places within a mile that we can take you to, to use your cell, if needed.....
Now to the Directions.
Map 1. Now if you can't figure this out or can't read it let me know, but The Sultan sat down today a drew this.
Basically, Option 1, coming I-81, N or S, take US30 at Chambersburg, PA, go East on US 30 to PA Route 234, then East about 8-9 miles and the campground will be on your left. Option 2. Coming on US 15, N or S, take PA Route 234 towards Heidlersburg/Biglerville, which is West. Follow PA Route 234 thru these 2 towns...head toward Arendtsville...in Arendtsville at stop sign take right (which is still PA 234 west) follow still past fairgrounds....campground will be on your right. Both Options: Conewago Campground sign is right by the road....
Ernie also says, if you'd like, to call us the day before (PM me for the phone number), with your estimated time of arrival and he'll make arrangements to meet you and bring you in.
Campground Map.
I drew this one....
And Camp Site Map.
Site 59 - Marilyn
Site 60A -Paulette
Site 60 - Pat
Site 61 - Leslie
Our site location is noted on the campground map, but not far from all of you.
Margie and Pam site is just up the campground road from GTG area.
We all have seasonal sites here...
I'm really getting excited about seeing everyone....
