Cougarfan, from Oregon is visiting the northeast. Her mother, Ann is also with her. Today I took a day off from work and met them for breakfast and some sightseeing. We had a yummy b'fast at the Hot Biscuit Diner in Ticonderoga, NY. Then we went to Fort Ticonderoga.

The fort is privately owned, but open to the public and is a national historic site. Here are some pics from our day together... Here a re-enactor in period costume gives a demonstration of the firearms of the revolutionary war.
One of the barracks buildings...
The entrance to the main courtyard of the fort...
The plaque at the entrance showing names of famous people in history that walked through the archway...
Closeup of some of the famous names. It's hard to imagine that I stood where George Washington and others had walked.
Then we drove up Mt. Defiance, also in Ticonderoga. It has a panoramic view of the lake, looking down on the fort.
Just when I thought Laura was such a nice person she turned so meeeeeeean and tried to push me off the cliff!
I think she has been watching the "Mitch and Vickie Show!" ( She told me to put that pic up and to say that! hee hee..... )
We really had a great day, it was nice to meet her mother,... and we definitely had fun.... yepper,... we're pals!
Can you see Fort Ti on that point of land far below us?
