Sept. GTG in PA Update and Details!!!

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Tue Apr 14, 2009 1:47 pm

Okay....It's all set!!!
We have 15 sites in the "Group/Club" Area at Ferryboat Campground for Sept. 18, 19, 20, 2009...with a leaving or check out date of the 21st.
They are all full hookups, but are back in sites....Our price is $32.40/night after the "group" discount (discount is applied with 10 campers or more)....not sure about the tax.....
If you go to their website and click on Campground map...I believe we are sites #230 thru #244.....I told the lady that we have 12 committed campers, but got 3 extras, just in case.....

Here are some details:

Ferryboat website: http://www.ferryboatcampsites.com
Phone #s for info and reservations: 717-444-3200 reservations: 800-759-8707

The reservations are under Women RV with my name as the contact person (Lori Sloan) I told the lady, Sandy, that everyone will be calling to reserve and will pay individually.....My CC is holding the sites right now.....

As far as activities.....a campfire, of course, ;) maybe a trip to the local winery, kayaking, etc....you can also rent a golf cart if you wish..... ;)
I will get with Paulette on refining the activities....and any suggestions are always welcome....

So, come on Sisters, and join in the fun.....

Any questions....reply here or PM me...

Hello everybody,

I'm not good at checking in everyday, so I'm just seeing this. I have been wondering if we were really going to do it and we are! I have to teach until 9 pm tonight, so I'll make my reservations on Friday morning. I am so looking forward to meeting you all. Peggy

Lori, I recently purchased a "ladder ball" game, perhaps we can have some competition with that? It's a hoot!

And I'd be game for the chilli cookoff.

PS. Have a note to self to call and make my reservation.

Ok I will try and remember to call and confirm my site.....

Just a comment again.... I don't take pictures and and if I do take pictures I tend to forget to get them developed or forget to download them or whatever. My family (few as they are) do not care and are like me that way. I was zealous when my kids were little and to this day no one looks at those many albums or cares.

I am having enough problems mastering all the technology in my aging (but new to me) rig ... Hope taking and posting photos is not a requirement to participate in these events. if so, please advise... I will maybe add this to my list of things to consider doing but have enough on my plate for right now.

No wish to offend but just not me, currently at least...I figure we remember what is memorable and for me, often that is a "word picture" anyway...

Jan, no picture posting required to attend a GTG. All are welcome.

Jan, Photo taking and posting is not required here....nor at the GTGs....not to worry...there's enough of us who are "camera happy" at these GTGs....so glad you will be joining us at Ferryboat....can't wait to see everyone...

I haven't posted in quite awhile. I am pedaling as fast as I can and my life is still in the toilet. :( The reason I am posting on this site is because I am not sure I will make the gtg. My rv developed a leak, took it for an estimate, between $6000 and $10000. I thought I would be physically sick. I have a class c and the whole cabover has to be removed and replaced. I thought it was a new leak but evidently it has been leaking for a while and I wasn't aware. I have agonized for a week, since I do not have that kind of money. I decided to take the money out of my dwindling retirement, took the rv to the shop today. They said a month but you know how that goes. I am so hoping that it will not be as bad as predicted. Do the RV Women Chant for me. :)

:o Oh, Shirl....I'll pray to the "RV gods" that the repair isn't as back as it sounds.....cause I really want you to join us at the GTG.....Chanting away here for you ;)
Keep us posted...
