I will be at Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, PA from June 6-13th and then at Country Acres Campground, Gordonville (Bird In Hand), Lancaster county, from June 13-17. There's a lot to do both those areas, from seeing the Gettysburg battlefield, the town of Gettysburg, driving the surrounding areas, the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmetsburg, Chambersburg, which was destroyed by the Confederates during the Civil War, Antietam National Battlefield, the site of the bloodiest day of the war, which is a nice day trip etc. Over in Lancaster, I plan to spend a day in Hershey, then want to take an Amish buggy ride through the country near Bird In Hand. Also want to see the Railroad Museum in Strasburg and there is a train pulled by a steam locomotive that will take you for a short 4 mile up and 4 mile back ride. Will check that out too.
So if anybody's interested in joining me, come along and have some fun. Get the reservations in as they will book up fast before long. Stay a couple days, a few days or just come for a day.
On another note: I will also be at Woodland Campground near State College off I-80 from June 17-20. Punxsutawney is on the agenda up there. Be kind of fun to go see where all the hoopla of Groundhog Day takes place. They have a nice park there from what I read and the town should be interesting. O'Sharon wants to do that and whatever else we get into too. Anybody want to join us, come along.
