[color=#0000FF]It seemed a bit more difficult to get short notice reservations in FL during snowbird season this year so several of us discussed starting a thread for another Hardee Lakes gtg next year. Vicki Coleman selected the dates but she is currently very busy so I'm posting this for her. She will also set up a FB page for it later.

DATES: 2-16 FEB 2018 Come for any part or stay for both weeks (Currently cost is $107.00 per week)

Call 863-767-1100 for reservations.

Please note the park does not currently charge a cancellation fee but if you make a reservation and have to cancel, please notify the park. Some failed to do that this year. If that continues, they may change the policy.

I am planning to go west next year, so unless that changes I will miss this one. Sometimes I wish I could be 2 places at once!

I will be in sight 48 for those two weeks.... I'm already planning my decorations for Jimmy Buffett day!...

I'm in for the 2 weeks in site 52 . Another big group is booking too for about same time, get your reservations in ladies if you want to join us. Nick, said to pass the word, they're getting really busy and have had a lot of snowbirds come in to just drive thru and check the CG out for next winter. Yuk !!

I'm sorry I'll miss everyone and Jimmy Buffett Day but don't think I can make that trip again. I'm a late comer to Jimmy Buffett music but that's my traveling music. I made a big bowl of sliced strawberries and I'm having strawberry shortcake twice a day.

How did the snowbirds find out about our secret Park....bummer

Donna, don't you remember all those cars and trucks that just drove through out there last month ?? Probably just out looking for new places to spend some of their winter and it is on a campground app. Also those who have stayed there and mentioned it, no telling how far that word went and to how many all over. It's sad but expected as such a great place and good people too !!

I'm afraid they might be, Sarah. Enjoyed one last night out there, wishing I could stay a week.

I stayed in 3 different lake sites this year. #43 would be my first choice, #57 second, #41 not so much - that's based on my view out my passenger side window. Some sites just have trees along the shore hiding a bit of the view. Love that park and sorry I won't be there next year.

Just wanted to post this update... it seems this park is getting more popular if you think you might want to go in February go ahead and make a reservation you do not have to pay for the reservation... you do not pay until you get there... and you can cancel at any time but remember to please cancel if you're not going to come because I think this option of not paying anything on reserving might go away if people don't start canceling if they don't want to or can't come.... anyway go ahead reserve a spot

I just booked a site for Feb 2-16. Site #15. Lakeside is gone. I am looking forward to it.

We'll most likely still be in our tent at that point, but I'll look into booking a site. Sure would be nice to meet some of you.

Okay, we are in! Only three nights since we're tenting. We'll be in Site 12, February 5,6,7.
