I have made reservations at Silver River State Park for a week Dec. 4-11, Site 14. I have doctors appointments in Ocala some days that week, but they are early morning, so still lots of time for fun if anyone would like to join me. Silver Springs SP has undergone a major renovation. They now have several full hookup sites with 30 and 50 amp elec. Many of the sites are large pull-throughs. Plenty of sites available for reservation now. Closer to time it will be more difficult.

Site 10 used to be my favorite, Margie, but I thought I'd try one of their new FHU sites this time. Great response, everybody!

You will still have a great site with W&E and there is a dump station. Judy has a FHU at Myakka. I didn't even think to look for them there.

I will be at Silver Springs, have always wanted to do this. I will be in 42 fk1. I read about the vultures trying to damage the rubber. I have a rubber roof. I wonder if there is some kind of spray that might discourage them. If anyone else has information better than covering with tarps let us know. I'm going to be researching this. I guess I'm spoiled I live in an area that has very little problem with insects or varmints. I remember fighting mosquitoes and ants one time on one trip and that wasn't much fun. I have some products now for the ants especially.

Yay, glad you are coming. I'm sure it happens, but I have never had a problem with vultures on my RV, although I have camped in their territory many times.

Okay getting excited for this next week... remember if you are close by... You can come by early like 8 am and a good possibility get a site for a nite or two...

Brenda & I will be there Tuesday for the afternoon only, by car. She will bring a salad and I'll bring chicken salad and we will arrive around noontime. We are looking forward to seeing all of you!

That's great, Irmi. We will plan for a pot-luck lunch at noon. I do have a dr. appt. at 1:30, so will have to leave for awhile, but that should be no problem for the rest of you. Looking forward to seeing you and meeting Brenda.
