Day # 4 in KS
Posted: Fri Sep 19, 2014 9:56 amThursday started out stormy but changed over by mid day to give us the best weather afternoon of the whole week so far.
Catherine and Anita arrived by early afternoon and Catherine quickly set up lunch for us - wonderful brisket sandwiches.
Starting to gather at Catherine's site
After lunch there was a lot of doggie meet and greet
Then we noticed the wind had stopped for the first time since Sunday. The lake turned glassy and there had to be kayak time
Tina ready to go
Tina and Sharon launched from back of Tina's site; Birdie went back to the other loop and launched from there
on the return trip
Finally got one of the white pelicans in a photo.
Just as the evening wine gathering started, we had a visit from ranger. Tina quickly convinced him we would not get too loud and that we would disappear to our own sites as dark fell.
