I am hosting a beach get together at Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina for 14 nights from
Monday October 20th, 2014 through Monday November 3, 2014.
It will be my second visit in 2014 to this awesome place. I've been there more times than I can count. It gets busy in a hurry, so if you are interested, go LOOK at the reservation map now before it's all full. Come for 2 or more nights! It's about $27 a night plus tax. AN INCREDIBLE BARGAIN for being on the beach!

I will be there 14 nights on a huge site, I am happy to host pot lucks and get togethers. If you can be there during any or all of this time, let me know. My reservation is already paid in full, because I am hopelessly in love with this very special island. There is nothing like it on the entire east coast. It is also bicycle and dog friendly. YES, you can walk your doggy up and down the beach. My pooch just LOVES it there. I love riding my bike on the beach too, my doggy rides in a basket up front, then we get out and play.
It doesn't matter which site you get, they are all in close walking to the gorgeous beach. There is a small camp store, but bring your groceries as otherwise all restaurants are off island. Fresh seafood fresh off the boat is sold about a mile off island and the grocery store is about 10 miles away. I tend to arrive with a full pantry ready to soak up island life in the jungle and on the beach. The fresh SHRIMP is awesome!
Hunting Island is a place near and dear to me. It has 8 miles of unspoiled beach, just sand, driftwood and a lighthouse. Cars can not drive on beach but bicycles can.
If you love fresh shrimp and seafood, this will be pure heaven. This place is for nature lovers and I am definitely in love with this island.
I've written and posted a good bit about Hunting Island on my blog at this link:
