Donna (ryegal) has been here since Monday and Friday Carolb showed up to spend some time with me....I had some classes Friday nite and all day today so I haven't had a chance to visit with carol as much as I would have liked to. She and Donna kept each other company today, did some chores for me and had dinner waiting when I got home. They're more than welcome to come and stay any time! Carol is leaving in the morning and KarenS will take her place sometime in the next few days. I heard from her today, she was in Ft. Stockton, Tx. She said she wanted to make it further, but the wind chased her off the road. It may be a long slow trip for her as bad as the wind has been this year. Not very many pictures being taken, but I got this one tonite.

Love the pic! Especially seeing Donna & Carolb in warm weather clothes as the snow continues to fall here - They sound like great house guests -getting some work done & fixing dinner. :D Maybe they'd like to visit KC next!

Catherine.....A good starting point for attracting visitors in your drive way is to mention how flat it (or the yard) is. :) The attraction of electric is always a plus...... Though a nearby government campground that take 1/2 off with a National Parks Access pass works well, too. (...near BJ's home in Carbondale!)

There definitely is an art to it - like attracting the kind of birds you want at your feeder, you tailor the food (read 'amenities') offered.

Ha!
My driveway has a slight slant :x nothing some of those orange thingys can't fix.
Have electric outlet outside - (I have adapters for 30 amp plugs).
Sorry, no gov or national cg close by  Of course that might be a draw since my driveway could be a good stopping point between cgs & the price is right.
Pluses... my fridge is nearly always full & have friendly pooches with fenced yard for doggie GTGs. :D
Anyone needing a stop in the midwest, just PM me... :D

Plus there are many wineries with good music almost daily, a Zipline over the Shawnee Forest that is supposed to be finished soon and the three time winner of the Memphis BBQ has a restaurant nearby!
