December Disney World Ft. Wilderness

Let's get together!

December Disney World Ft. Wilderness

Postby Redwahine » Tue Mar 05, 2013 5:50 pm

We have decided to spend the Christmas holidays with some family in FL this year. Inspired by JudyJB's post last December from her campsite at Ft Wilderness inside Disney World, we decided we liked the idea of going to Disney World without kids :P So we have reservations at Ft Wilderness from Dec 7-15. Chalet05 has reservations for Dec 1-13. Hopefully, others from the forum will be there or in the area for GTGs. :P :P I'm excited :P

VERY exciting...it's on our list... not sure if this December would work for us though. I know in October we'll be going to OBX so that'll probably wipe our funds for awhile...and I'd imagine you'd have to get reservations far in advance that time of year. Have fun!!

If you are interested, make reservations now - I imagine space is limited. I have already been told I can't upgrade my site for Dec. 1-12. Also, they will not give you a site number. Guess they see which rig fits where best later on.

Rates go much higher December 13.

I made my res online. did not ask about pet friendly. ill have to call, cuz I will have Tyler. i dont think they assign a cg# until you checkin. however, there was a place to list a friend that has res if you want to be close :P As of today, they are sold out for Fri, dec 6th. That's why my res is for the 7-15. I could get Dec 1-6 or 7-15, but nothing for the 6th. The rates go up after the 13th significantly.

You can probably call closer to the dates and let them know who else you are traveling with so they can at least put you in the same area.

I would love to join you but have decided to spend the winter next year in the Southwest.
