Bandon OR..August 15-19, 2011...is happening!!!

Every inch of the coast is different, so I wouldn't question traveling it to another area. It's why it takes me forvever to get anywhere And, yes, the chance to meet others makes it all worthwhile.

well I signed up with ReserveAmerica so will be all ready for the 15th for one of the spots mentioned, either will work. Looks like you would only lose $8 if something happens and you have to cancel. I am very opened to a convoy east. Maybe down south and over the Redwood highway then to Medford and over Lake of the Woods to the turn off to Crater Lake. Just a thought. Anybody???

The convoy sounds like a neat plan. Have you been on these routes before? I'd need an approximate time frame as I'd have to get someone to mow my grass and pick up my mail.

Sounds like fun but don't know if I could do it right from Bandon. Were you thinking of another timeframe?

I will be in Klamath Falls area most of the summer so if you want to do any GTG or travel that area let me know. I have done that route many times and very worth the trip. I can give details, routes mileage etc. Let me know if interested.

I just did some checking on Reserve America and it looks like they are only taking reservations up to Aug 14th, 2011. But then again, I have never used RA so I might be confused.
Let me know what you find out. Perhaps tomorrow things will change on their website.

Tomorrow is the 15th so the reservations should be open for Aug.15th (and hopefully beyond). Will find out in the morning.

Maybe it is me that is confused, I thought the Oregon Parks website said they only took reservations through Reservations USA. hmmm!!

I tried calling first thing but couldn't get thru. Computer voice said Mondays were very busy and all lines were busy. So I went online and secured site B44 for Aug.15-19th no problem.
