I know the dates are the Friday the 19th through Monday the 22nd. Are most people planning to show up on Friday for the weekend and leave on Monday?

First GTG so trying to get in the grove of it

Looks like we'll have 2 days travel on each end. Anyone know a good CG around St Louis?

If you look at the site map it states that 38-43 are the only sites with 50 amp power. Due to my partners health issues if we can't get a 50 amp site it might be a deal breaker for us. I guess I need to get busy and get on the phone. Are they accepting reservations yet?

Melissa, I just looked and it shows 38-47 are all 50A. I'd double check, just to make sure, but that's what it says.

I know we'll be there longer...not going to travel 760 miles (one way) to only be there 3 nights. Just haven't figured out what days yet!

DO NOT mention a BBQ tour or you'll have Ronnie following you around like a long lost puppy!

At the top of the site map it states 38 through 43. The "x" means electrical but not the amperage. I'll ask when I make my reservations.

I plan to seek out some of that "KC BBQ" while we are in the area. Maybe I'll have a partner in crime

We are also about 750 miles so we're kind of in the same boat.

It shows the Amps for each site. The little lightening bolt along the right side states whether it's 30 or 50. Hope that helps.

It has to be 6 months before the date the reservation starts.

when we were camphosts we heard numerable times how frustrating it was for the campers to get the sites they wanted...we had a very
sought after campground...if this is the same type well used...I would recommend that you check out the sites find alternative sites so if the one you want is taken you have another in mind...the other thing is check and see where the reservation place is and be on the computer the moment you can to make your reservations...ie if you can start making reservation at 12:00 AM what ever that first time zone is and you live in pacific time zone do the figuring and be on the computer at that moment ...we had campers that said that they had it typed in ready to hit the submit knowing it was open and saw it get taken..have fun I truly wish that I could be there was really giving it some serious thought but with new batteries needed and some other stuff I know that I can't this year but hopefully this will become a yearly event and I can another year but oh how I was looking forward to meeting so many of you

I wanted to get far enough away from you and the Doofus to be out of danger of flying objects. The last time I camped between you two I was threatened with water balloons! Besides, I booked before I saw your post....Looks like it's gonna be a hike. Good exercise for me and the Chewmonster.

We're in site 41, arriving Sept. 14, for 8 nights. The Ranger was kind enough to make an exception & said they would put up a barricade to hold the site for us, since it is supposed to be non-reservable.

Yipeeeeee, a GTG, I get out of the house!!!!! I gotta go pack!
