Sept 11-16 2011 PA GTG at Lake in Woods

Here's a schedule for our gtg:

Sunday 9/11 - everyone arrives - Dinner (on me) and campfire.

Monday 9/12 - Laid back day around the campground. Tour rigs. Play mini golf, horseshoes, shuffleboard, canoe or paddle boat on the lake, etc as desired. Chat etc. Pot luck night.

Tuesday 9/13 - Sightseeing as people want. Must be back at cg before 6 to head to the Amish Dinner. Amish Dinner is set for 6:30 at their home.

Wed 9/14 - Sightseeing as people want. Bring out the leftovers for dinner - campfire.

Thursday 9/15 Some people had talked about wanting to go to the Hershey RV Show. We'll look into that if people are still interested. Otherwise, lay back, sightsee more, if wanted, hang out here, chill, etc. Cook over the campfire (hot dogs, hamburgers, vegie burgers, etc)

Friday - Everyone leaves

As you'll note - other than the Amish dinner and the possible Hershey RV Show - everything else is up to us after we get together to decide. Lots of things we can do - or we can just sit around and eat and talk

I've looked into renting another car, and if necessary, we can do that for 1 or as many days as necessary - but don't want to do it in advance and be committed to more days than necessary. So, will follow through with that on Monday after we can talk about it.

If anyone is able to come for a day or evening (hint hint Paulette and Zeee in particular) please do. And if it can be the night of the Amish Dinner, let me know. I do need to give her a final count at least a few days in advance. Dee will only be with us Sunday and Monday - leaving on Tuesday, therefore the big potluck, picture with the banner is planned for Monday.

I am so looking forward to this GTG and finally meeting ya'll. However I will now start worrying about the pot luck dinner as I often eat strange food. I'll try to come up with something "normal". Right after the GTG I will be attending a Macrobiotic seminar.

Bethie, you know I'll do my best to attempt to appear.. some here might think I'm a ghost story..but I'm for real....any way..with things happening with Zeke and other family members..it's just another blurr in the world..

Know that I'm thinking of you all and man oh man, I wish I could, I wish I would ..but ya just never know..

I'll be coming from a 3 day Penn State tailgating bash (with a luau theme) at State College before the gtg. I'll continue that theme at my site at LIW cause I'll have all the stuff with me. Anyone that wants to join in, please do!!!

I "may" be able to stay longer than Tues. The plan was to help out my dealer at the Hershey RV show from Wed - Sunday. I haven't talked to them lately but will soon to see if I'm still needed.

Can't wait to meet all of you!!

Countdown - 2 more days!

Sunday's dinner is planned. Let's cross our fingers that the weather cooperates. Right now the week is looking good! Roads should be open, or detours well-marked for those not open. I didn't see any closures in the immediate vicinity south or east of here yesterday in my meanderings. LIW is on high grounds and all is well here.

Just a note to remember that check-out time here is 2 pm - and most of the sites you are booked in are reserved this weekend. So, please don't arrive before 2 at the earliest. But the sooner after 2, the better. (Yes, the rules are check-in starts at 3, but hey, you didn't see me telling you 2 was ok, did you? hahaha). Debbie, our new member, will be working at check-in. I've invited her and her husband to join us when she gets off work - and anytime during the week that she can. She's covering some of my hours, so won't have lots of time - but do have her agreement to come to dinner on Monday night.

Any of you who don't have my phone # - if you want it - pm me and I'll send it to you. I'm notorious for not having my phone on me, but will be sure to have it on me Sunday until all are in.

And for anyone who didn't get directions from me or the website or when making your reservations - IF you come on the turnpike with plans to exit in Morgantown (exit 298) please do NOT follow your GPS at that point. (Unless you're in a small Class B like Liz). Instead, at that exit, head south to Highway 23, where you'll turn right (west). Follow that to 625 (sign at corner to turn for LIW) and turn right. After you get near 625, you'll be able to follow your GPS again. And as with the corner at 625 and 23, all corners from there in will have a sign towards LIW.
