Ali, we'll be coming through San Antonio in early May. Not positive exactly what our overnight stops are, but we will be stopping at least for a little while in San Antonio..... will update our travel plans as we get closer to firming up dates, etc.

So did a weather check thru Intellicast for the PL GTG. Looks like the Sunday that Karen and I get there will be in the low 80's and scheduled that way for 3 or 4 days with the night lows in the 60's. So it should be nice weather wise at least until Wednesday. But then you know the weather weenies use the 'spit on a rock' method on off days - and we never know when they are having an off day.

I sure hope that no one has discovered that nice spot that we parked at last year. I have been thinking that would be a bummer. Looking forward to this trip.

Well, part of the Golden Girls are here....still have a couple more to go. Is a little windy on the coast, but then Yakn1 sez it is always windy on the coast. Just got a few shots today...was so windy that my shots are blurred...couldn't be the shooter!! Karen (retiredHappy) and I got here sometime around noon and got parked lengthwise to take up as much room as possible so we could save parking spaces for those big rigs coming in after us. Carol arrived a bit after 2:00 p.m. having been driven over by her DD and SIL from Houston. Then Vicki (Yakn1) got in about 3:00 and got parked in between us. So we think we have room for Diana (Mtngal) when she gets here Mon. And we know we have room for Sharon (Sprinter) next Friday.

Here are a few shots of our cloudy and windy sites.

The view, with of course, a palm tree.

Do we need a mascot? Okay, from last year, here he is again!

And we wish we had this...not yet but maybe later.....

Now that is a group that looks like it could get into trouble with just a little encouragement.
So happy to see that Carol was able to join you.
Thanks for the photos.

Yay, thanks for posting the pics. Those of us not able to go were wondering....me anyway. It's so nice to see Carol there enjoying the GTG. Hugs to her and prayers still being said for a complete recovery.
Is the pink fire pit still there? It looks chilly....you may need it. Love what you've done with the TT, Yakn. You all enjoy yourselves (safely). Take lots of pics and post at least some of them. Hopefully the sun and moon will both be out soon to shine on you.

Sure wish I was there with you instead of here in Denver. I think a week here might have been more than enough. It snowed here yesterday and is still on the ground today. Pretty hard to take when I know it was 90 in San Antonio a day or so ago. You really are right on the beach. Is that the road right out in front of you? I was trying to locate just where on the road along the bay you are. Have fun for all the rest of us.

Anybody have the latitude and longitude coordinates so we can google earth you?
Brian left me his truck today so I think I will try to locate Cherry Creek park since I probably won't have wheels on another nicer day. A snowy park is definitely not a sunny Texas beach but sometimes you have to make do.

So glad that Carol felt up to a visit and that her family brought her over. I have been thinking of her the last few days and hoping that her treatments have been going well for her. Karen, be sure to let her now that she is still in our thoughts.

Glad you all made it safely and thanks for saving me a spot. This workin stuff is really interfering with my livelihood ;)

Liz, I was wondering the same thing ;) But, if that fire ring isn't there anymore, I know someone there who has a fresh can of flamingo pink spray paint! hahaha!!!

Love,
Sharon

Looks to be the ideal spot for a GTG. Maybe one day, I will make one. I was so glad to see that Carole, was there. Have also been thinking of her these past few days. Prayers continue as to her total recovering from that hateful "C' thing. The crowd that seems to be gathering there, we may have to have Lori, send bail money, Behave think Lori's GTG may need it :o

Have a great time you all, and post all the pix you can find time to post for us,

CArol :)
