Have we already put out a "Bail Fund" call? I can't seem to keep up with all the goings on. I had thought, silly me, that this GTG would be a little calmer. Looks like I was really silly.

Loving Carol's new rig. I am so thrilled for her. What a great surprise. I expect we will be seeing her on the road some more. Goodie.

Alice, I think you scammed us on the backing up!!

Liz your pics are great as usual. Waiting to see the kayking crew.

All, keep having a great time!!

Alice
I figured that you would probably fool us all with your parking skills. I see you even have a trailer for your bike, neat. That is a pretty nice looking rig for a wreck that spends all its time in the RV shop. I think they just like to have it around the shop for advertising purposes. Have a great time all of you.

Ah, girls, the bail fund is at $77.00.... (good thing Belle's with Irmi cause her bail fund is below $3.00 ;) ) So someone, please, go find Alice before the cops pick her up..... :) Getting the bail to AR may take awhile....but I think Western Union is still in business, if we have to... ;) But it's ready to go, if needed... ;)

Great photos!!! Keep them coming...

A fellow rv'er, who shall remain nameless just couldn't take watching what was sure to be a very long process of me backing in... and guided me in.It did make it so I could catch up with the gang quicker. Sharon.. oops.. Nameless Rv'er just didn't want me running over her rig. It really was a lot easier with help and I won't admit it.. but the help was greatly appreciated...

I'm sitting in my rv eating the left over hotdogs. There is so much food here! Just trying to do my part to get rid of some of it.

I went geocaching... and there is one by the check in office and I can't find it. An employee has asked me several times if I want her to show me where it is. I may crack...or the employee will get sick of seeing my clueless efforts and just point it out.

The lake here is beautiful. Wish I had my shuttle bike. However, I'm having a blast with my new cargo trailer for my bicycle. So much easier to haul than the trike and it carries so much more. The trike may be looking at retirement.

This really is a great gathering of great people. Also a gathering of great mosquitoes as in a great number of the suckers. I would be outside with the gang if the mosquitoes hadn't chased us all inside. Tomorrow, going to try some bug spray and see if that helps. Might help if I wear a few more items of clothing other than sports bra and shorts. *grin* Been riding though the park on my bicycle singing the Ray Stevens song "The Streak"

oh, yes, they call him the Streak
Fastest thing on two feet
He's just as proud as he can be
Of his anatomy

So tickled to have the rv out of the shop and be surrounded by such neat people.

More comments tomorrow as I'm sure I'll have to clarify the untruths and defend myself. 8-)

As it turned out, Alice was just off geocaching, and the blue lights were just park rangers.

We got together for a pot luck dinner Wednesday evening and had our official group portraits taken with the signed banners:

Thursday morning Sharon cooked breakfast for everybody...her famous and delicious sausage gravy and biscuits.

Some of you may remember the pot holder twins....I know Herschel does.

Not too long after breakfast the ambulance arrived.....

The ambulance was probably called because The Twins were trying to get the ladies to give up the location of Belle! :o It's a good thing she's too far away to be kidnapped this time!

Oh my, such fun and a great group of ladies, rigs, fur babies and fun abounding. This is a good gtg and I'm issing it. Oh well, good thing, I guess it was good those blue lights went on their way, wouldn't have had I been there. Just saying...What's the rest of the story on the ambulance and who's the tease doing that?? Posting a pix with no explanation?

Liz thanks for those beautiful pictures I know it makes me miss being there more. Looks like lots of fun. More...more...more!

I've been leaving the picture posting to Liz, my connection here is to slow....got tired of PB throwing me off. Suffice it to say, we're all having a really great time doing what we do best....eating, talking, eating, sightseeing, eating, talking, eating......well, you get the picture! It's been great hooking up with old friends and meeting new ones. This is a really great GTG...but then don't think I've ever been to a bad one. Nice park, Vickie and Mitch, you scored a home run again, altho Petit Jean is still my favorite. And it must be a good GTG, girls are already asking me where it's gonna be next year. I said, "ask Mitch and Vickie". :D

Didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Nancy (Travelinana), what a sweet lady. Really enjoyed meeting her but sorry I didn't get a chance to spend more time with her. And no matter what she has posted on her siggy, Rowdy Rudy isn't rowdy...he's a sweetheart. Tamara and her mom are leaving tomorrow, sorry to see them go, too. I think the rest of us are here until Sunday and Monday.

on edit: Liz didn't post a picture of her beautiful and delicious strata....boy was that good!

Looks like the ORS group was a little tipsy, or at least their banner was

The ambulence was probably there just as a precaution after hearing that Sharon was gonna be there!

Fortunately, the ambulance wasn’t here for any of us. So, Carolyn and Sharon took us off on an excursion down some dubious roads.
Image
We stopped to tour Lakeport Plantation, a cotton plantation dating back to 1859.

One of the most impressive features inside were the high ceilings and tall doorways.

Then Sharon led the way on another dubious road....the top of the levee.

It was an interesting tour and we were all tuckered out.
