I'm doing the happy dance. It will be good to see you all again, Echo. I'm in for the cabin. I'm sure we will all be happy for eating around a warm table or whatever. Do the cabins have fireplaces?

MITCH! How in heck did you get ahold of my x-ray??? :) (Actually, I had 3 broken ribs, however! Guess they just didn't show up in that x-ray view!)

I am SO jealous of you all going to the GTG----I so wish I could just drive down there and chuck school for a week! Echo----are you and Kelly staying in your tent on site 20, or did you get an RV to borrow for the time? You are really brave if you are tenting it, although I can remember many mornings waking up to fresh snow on my tent in days gone by! Perhaps you can borrow a heater (safe one) for in the tent? Or do you have -50deg. F. sleeping bags? I hope it's not a three-dog night down there, as you only have one, yes? :)

I don't care HOW cold it is, girls, take tons of pictures to share with the rest of us!!!!!!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Looking forward to meeting you Echo and Kelly.

Carolyn...yes the cabins have a fireplace.

Come on down Soos...you have all those sick leave days that may go to waste. :P

I'm going to try to borrow a large coffee pot from the church to keep full of hot water for hot chocolate, tea, instant coffee, or whatever else you can mix with hot water.

Doing the tent thing Soos. That's all that Kelly and I have, but we do have lots of blankets. We've slept in the tents before in this weather, down even to 14f, so we should be good to go. Tho Kelly refused to bring her extra heavy blanket with her and I can't remember if I grabbed it for her anyway? Wont know until we get the cargo trailer all sorted out the way I want it.

Liz, good idea on the BIG coffee pot to keep hot water in. Will be hitting that with my cocoa mug in gloved hand. For potluck maybe I'll do up a batch of tater soup in the crockpot? Might need something warm like that! ;) Don't know about mac salad in 20-40f weather!

Liz the cabin sounds like a great idea. Be glad to chip in some for a warmer place to have potluck. Maybe have breakfast there on Sunday morning? Just a thought.

Hoping that I will have the work finished so I can leave here Thursday morning and head down. My son is filling my propane tank tomorrow for me. So just to load stuff and be ready to head out.

Carol, et. al.......I have made it down to a Passport America RV park south of Perry...I meant to go farther but I just started getting tired and it was at the next exit so I stopped. Will be meeting Sarah at the Holiday Inn of I75 in Tifton...she coming East from her BIL's. She had a light go on in the van and is hoping that it isn't serious....she'll call in the morning if it is and we well change plans from there. Haven't decided where to stop tomorrow night.....and then make a quick trip over to Silver River on Thursday...... I really like the idea of the cabin for Sat/Sun...figure that our rigs will be warm but there is just so much room even in the big buses! This way we can all be together at least part of the time :) And Carol, I have not practiced....so no betting money on these card games!

I am bringing an air pot, will fill it with coffee, so anybody can get a cup when they want it. Bringing my large coffee pot to make the coffee in. Also bringing some hazelnut coffee for those that would like a cup of hazelnut.

At least our insides will be warm.

Great Nan, and yes, let's do the Sun. morning buffet at the cabin too. It has a full kitchen with oven & dishwasher that can be used if needed.

The cabin is/was available more nights, but only booked Sat. due to the cost.

Correction for those planning to stop for propane. It is available at the U-Haul place on the corner of US441/301 and Bonnie Heath Blvd, Not Silver Springs Blvd. Bonnie Heath is a little north of Silver Springs Blvd/SR 40. You would need to take the exit for US 27 off I-75 to go directly there.

Good news for those interested in the Cracker Village Tour at the cg....the buildings will be open on Saturday (this happens only once a month):
CRACKER VILLAGE TOUR
Date: January 9, 2010 3:00 PM
Description: Take a guided tour through the replica Cracker Village and learn about Central Florida lifestyles in the 1800's. These monthly tours are the only time the Cracker Village is open to the general public.

Well you gals have fun, but I am going to wuss out, this cold is too much for me to enjoy being outside. I am going to stay home next to my electric heater. If anyone gets over this way (Homosassa), stop in and say howdy, I am site N6 at Turtle Creek RV Park.

Liz's pictures are more plentiful and nicer than mine....but some woman in LA seemed very determined that all of us post something....yes, we miss her so, just for her Herschel said that he would post the picture of his site and him sitting around the campfire.....you already got to see his neat gift bag.
