Pictures from tonight's potluck. I think Jenny got a shot of all of us (except her) - hopefully she'll post it.

It was very windy yesterday, and pretty windy today, but the winds were nice and died down for our potluck. Temps were not bad then - but as soon as the sun started down, it got quite chilly! It's the desert!!! And it's Sheila's birthday. But I wasn't there when the cake came out - so sorry, no pics. I went to get my camera (which I had forgotten, and that's when they came with the cake, wouldn't you know it!

Update on the mean "lady." I left Q this morning at 7:20. I had decided to drive out on her "driveway." But at that hour she might not be up to see me - darn! Well, I had to leave so pulled out. As I approached the "driveway," there she was standing in her usual "bully" stance next to their rig - feet 14" apart, arms crossed over her chest, scowl on her face, staring at me. As I turned onto the "driveway," I waved a big wave to her. No response except a scowl. Yay, my final act of defiance was a success. Woohoo!!!

Good for you, Sandi. I can't believe she was out there that early protecting her property. We did have fun at the Desert Bar. Alice rode up with me and after I took her to the bookstore but "he" wasn't there. Very disappointing.

Hilarious Sandi, and yep, you sure missed a great afternoon at the Desert Bar. I would go again and the burgers were
fabulous, big and I couldn't eat the whole thing and shared with Carol. The garlic fries were good too. Patty did a great
job driving up that bumpy road, Thanks Patty. My get away weekend was great and I'm pleased.

I'm pulling out of Q today, possibly in rain. But first we're going to head to a free pancake breakfast. One last hurrah with those still here. Hard to leave! It was wonderful to meet everyone I didn't already know and reconnect with those I did.

Oh my! It was absolutely a GREAT gtg! Sandi, I didn't realize you were pulling out yesterday--guess I turned in too early Sat night to know that. Hope you're having a safe trip home. Ava! was so glad you were there sans you-know-who. Hope you're home safely now....Desert Bar!!! a real trip! AND meeting so many new, wonderful peoples & having time with ones I know & love already Will see you "extended" gtgers in a day or two, but anyone else leaving before I return, be safe, & I look forward to seeing y'all again someday!

CarolB and I arrived safely at Mitrey Lake. We sat outside all afternoon and watched the lake and did a little bird watching.
