OK, so I'm gone a couple of days and I come back to page 4, NOOOO...page 11!! Took me awhile to catch up, but I can safely say I am not the only crazy one here!!
Add my "stuff" on the list. Short and kinda round (that would be both of us), as Tillie is only 13'. I'm salt & pepper, Tillie is off white (close, right?). The tug is a red 4 dr. Silverado, and we will also be toting a kayak, either slime green or a red & white. Will be in unit #17. I am not going on to Branson - been gone a little much the past few weeks, so I need to spend some time at home.
And to the ones not admitting to gray or white -----what Clairol # are you??

Whew, I'm glad that was cleared up. I thought I had lost my charge. Didn't know what I was gonna do.

Yep, Belle is still hanging out here in Ohio. She keeps asking to stay in the ac for now but I am sure that will change as soon as the temps begin to cool and she sees the Short Bus being loaded!

I just wanted to let everyone know that when I visited AR my feet/legs got bitten up by the chiggers. I wish someone would have told me about them beforehand as I spent the whole time scratching my legs raw. I would suggest using a bug spray or something. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Perhaps someone else would like to add to this?

I'd like to add a question - is DEET effective against chiggers?

Well, yall know I'm from the country ;) but what we always do since we were little kids, is when you know you're going out in the woods, put a very little bit of pine oil in the hot bath water and we never got bit. (go ahead Mitch)

Lord have mercy Vicki, we are gonna slide into our spots covered with cooking oil so the little chiggers can't bite us.
Wonder if Lemon Pledge would work????
Personally am going to stay out of the woods and not walk where bushes are hanging over the road and brushes up against you. :D
But I refuse with our heat to wear long pants all the time.
Well h--l, with all the Alligator Piss, red wine spritzers in my blood stream, them little suckers are gonna be so drunk they are gonna just slide on off of me.

I got bit just walking on a sidewalk to some bleachers to watch a car demolition race. I first felt the bites as I sat in the bleachers, so I think they are everywhere, not just in tall grasses.

This is copied from the internet......

Regular mosquitoes repellents will repel chiggers. All brands are equally effective. Applying these products to exposed skin and around the edge of openings in your clothes, such as cuffs, waistbands, shirt fronts and boot tops, will force chiggers to cross the treated line get inside your clothes.

Unfortunately these repellents are only potent for two to three hours and must be reapplied frequently.

By far, the most effective and time proven repellent for chiggers is sulphur. Chiggers hate sulphur and definitely avoid it. Powdered sulphur, called sublimed sulphur or flowers of sulfur, is available through most pharmacies. Dust the powdered sulphur around the opening of your pants, socks and boots. If you plan to venture into a heavily infested area, powdered sulphur can be rubbed over the skin on your legs, arms and waist. Some people rub on a mixture of half talcum powder and half sulphur.

But a word of warning: sulphur has a strong odor. The combination of sulfur and sweat will make you unpleasant company for anyone who has not had the same treatment. Sulphur is also irritating to the skin of some people. If you have not used sulphur before, try it on a small area of your skin first.

Well now, I don't know any of them by name. We just mostly call the little buggers redbugs down here.

Yeah, Marslet, that's what we call them too.

Lenora, now look what you've done!
Okay everybody come on down to Sulphur LA before you go to the AR GTG, bathe in our water and you'll all stink, but be bug free!
