I so enjoy Birdie when she stops by for a visit :) Tonight, when I got home...there was a sweet striped mum on my doorstep :) I am sooooo spoiled!

I really do think that Sonterra has her name on it ;) But we shall see :) She really did look cute in that hat too ;)

Karen also had a lil bear hat on. But apparently, my photography skills lapsed. And she looked so cute too ;) Sorry. And I was blaming her for holding out on us ;)

I also coerced/invited another solo woman for dinner with us tonight from Oceanside, CA. She thought we were crazy too, but loved us :) I think she'll be joining us again tomorrow night ;)

Mitch, it is so fun to laugh after a hard days work. It really does release those endorphins ;) Can't think of anyone better I'd rather share that with than our gf 's :)

Sharon...when are you comin back to TX? You know I'm missin you.

And you too Patty! My parents will be here in the next day or so. And we'll be corrupting them too! lol!!! Already have our list of PA German dishes for my Momma to make ;)

Love,
Sharon

Birdie, you should get the hat...it is "you."

I see by their website that Ronnie Bock's has sold my old Pleasureway....glad they were able to sell it so quickly.

Cute guest house...do you give birding lessons to the guests?

Just stopped in Ft. Stockton at the LaQ for the night. Was a little early, but RV time would have been just right. There is a nice steak house here in town that I'll go visit around 4 and then come back and repack some things in the car. Hope to have the Continental Breakfast about the time they open in the morning and then hit the road.

I think I might have to go back for that hat at the Cracker Barrel. May get a chance to look at the Sonterra, but that is way off my checkbook, but would like to see the layout that way I can say I don't like it.

Liz, Karen said they had your unit sold within one week. Those little guys pop right out. I am so glad you nailed that RT when you did. It would not have lasted too much longer. All the winter Texans are floating in, around and thru now.

We actually do sit with the guests and other folks who drive up and ID birds for them. It is a well known place for some rare birds and the owner's personal yard is open from daybreak to dark. Jackie already told me that she still has some hummers and bats. The bats drain the sugar water at night, so I have to get up at the pre-dawn and put out more sugar water for the hummers. They need that when they come out of night sleep (slow their little bodies down to conserve enegry - they have a name for it but I don't remember it, like stupor but not that).

Oh, but Tina, we could party every night. I finished up another Happy Camper bottle of cab last night. Went well with the beef filet wrapped in jalapeno bacon, baked sweet potatoe and purple hull peas. May have beat the raspberry tea, fried okra, turnip greens and pinto beans with the chicken fried steak at Cracker Barrel. Geez you know this means I have eaten out twice in three days after I get back from the steak house. That's a rarity for me.

You guys keep a watch on Karen, cuz she had what was left of the Bailey's.
