What a lovely setting for a lake.

We were at the 7acre lagoon, there is also a 2 acre pond & a 5 acre pond.

It was in the afternoon, we didn't eat anything, but drank lots of water, it was in the upper 90's.

I don't know how anyone could NOT be nice to Martha, she's a sweet lady...very unlike SOMEONE else I know!

Yes, both Carolyn & Martha (&DH) should be here Sat. for the DO yummy food. I hope the weather is good. They start cooking at 9.

Look as if it is a fine day for fishing and visiting with friends new and old.....but them the temperature doesn't show up on the photos (Vickie, you can cook for me anytime but don't let Mitch know....next time Stuart wants to stop by the resort in TN to swim in her pond she may make him park out past the cornfield....)

Jeremy finally quit complaining about the heat and fished for a little while. He talks about going fishing but acts like he is melting if he has to go outside.

We camped at this park last summer but I didn't know they had this big pond. It even has fish in it, not that we could catch them. Vickie almost caught a big one but it got off.

We are all going to the DO cookout. They keep upping the chance of rain so hope it doesn't rain. There is a covered pavilion but I don't think it would hold all the people that would be there.

Today we met up with Carolyn, Martha & Harold at the DO Gathering.

Carolyn & Martha, while we were waiting for the cookers to finish & put the pots on the table.

It's always fun to be able to share good food with good people!

It sprinkled some, but had dark clouds in the area, so Ronnie stayed back at the RV & we brought him a plate.

The food was great, let's see if I can remember some of the stuff...of course they had hamburgers & hot dogs. Then the other items were beef tongue & liver in gravy(Ronnie was the only one that ate that), chicken & gravy, crawfish cornbread, cornbread with ground beef, green bean casserole, Mac & cheese, cheeses, jalapeño bread, chili, baked beans & tons of desert!
