That sure does sound good, Mitch - both food and weather. Now if there was just some good way to get from northeast TN to northwest TN.

Liz has a really black eye from being whacked with the awning during storm.

Our excitement for last night was a call to the sheriff's office (emergency # listed for campground). Some one dropped off a TT in site between me and Carol's friends, Dick and Sandy. As we were leaving Liz's after card game around 10:00 PM could hear an alarm going off and traced it to the TT. Up close to it you could smell propane and the people had been gone more than 6 hours. Deputy managed to turn propane off and force a window open. Took almost two hours for the alarm to stop. People were back there this morning and discovered the stove had been left on without any flame.

Liz and Tina got in another long kayak ride this morning; the pups got to ride along too. We've also managed to work in a couple of short, interesting sighting trips - Cordel Hull Museum and Sgt York home place are both nearby. Hopefully you will have photos from Liz and/or Tina.

We've really enjoyed having this lovely campground mostly to ourselves the past few days but it is beginning to fill up for the holiday weekend already so we will be off to other adventures tomorrow as no spaces available here except for Liz's spot. BJ left this morning.

Wow, you've had all manner of excitement of both good and bad at this GTG! Glad you had each other and experience to "weather" through it.
Hugs to Liz for taking one for the team. ;)

BJ, did you ever figure out what was making your bed vibrate?

I must have missed what was going on with Carol's rig, hope it's an easy fix. Edit: I went back and read, I guess it's to fix the awning.

You know, I was just thinking....we somehow missed the pics of Liz's black eyes. 8-)

No, but I think it might have been the electric connection at that campground. Someone suggested it was me vibrating and not the bed, that sometimes it is from being tired and muscles I guess shaking.
I got home about 6:30 last night drove straight through. Toby who had acted like he had been a RVing dog all his life, rather than it being his very first trip, freaked as we started home and stood or sat the whole way with his nose on my knee. I have no idea what happened as he slept a lot and was quite content on the way down. The trip did have a lot of things happening, when the storm came through I ran outside with Toby and left my door partly open, the wind blew it shut and we were locked out! Liz graciously took us in. It took 3 hours for a locksmith there, guess they don't have many who work with my insurance company in that area. After the guy left the first thing I did was put my extra keys outside like I had been intending and forgetting to do.

Wow, a GTG you all won't soon forget! Good thing the sheriff was able to shut off the propane in that trailer. Could have exploded to kingdom come!

Glad there was some good clean fun in with the not so good stuff.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Yes Sheet Head, I gave you the Crabbie recipe. But I certainly wish you wouldn't have broadcasted that to everyone. No doubt you'll screw them up and then no one will trust my recipes again!
