Dawn, if you like your apple pie, by all means make it - but don't do it to replace another apple dessert. Make whatever you want - or make nothing. That's the beauty of these gtg's. And you might think about making one thing, but when you go shopping find another fruit or ingredient you really want to try. I must admit, I usually pull out something I've never made before to try at gtg's. That's because I often don't make larger portions - so I save recipes I think look good to try then. And I know if it's no good and doesn't get eaten, there will be plenty of food with everything else - so far that hasn't happened, but hey, I'm realistic
For all of you who haven't attended one of the WRV gtg's before - don't stress on whether you'll have enough, what to bring, etc. We love to be laid back - and everyone fits in. Don't feel you have to cook if you don't like it- I promise there will be enough food. And if you forget a chair, someone else will have extra, etc etc. For those without cars, if around the fire in the evening, someone suggests and excursion during the day - don't feel left out. If you want to go, speak up - someone will have room in their car.
In other words - just go and have fun - and do what you like - participate in what you want - and don't stress about any of it.
That's my two cents - and it's what I love about our gtg's.
