Hello, All....Okay, am having connection issues here in the woods of PA...so will try to do this short and sweet... ;) We got here last Monday and Ernie's keeps trying to get a better signal in the trees, but for now, got to work with what I have....

I have made the reservations for the 3rd annual PA GTG here at our "home base" Cole Bros./Conewago Campground for the week of July 25-30 leaving out July 31....10 sites have been blocked for our use. All are electric and water at $23 per night....there is a dump station avalible....we also have a pavillion for our use. The sites are located beside the pond...all having fire rings....

Planned events or activities so far:
Tours of the Gettysburg Battlefield, The Adams County Winery, Boyd's Bears....and of course, lots of food, wine, beer, soda, coffee, campfires, etc.... ;)

If you are planning to attend the GTG, please confirm with me by the 1st week of June so I can let the office know.....Petula, the Palm tree, Spinner, Ernie & I can't wait to be your hosts and show you our part of the country.... ;)

Sorry,.... Maybe I should have said.." Petula and the Palm tree..." Petula is my 5ft. Pink Flamingo who lights up....she had been introduced...see PA GTG Ferryboat Campground Sept. 2009......I'd post again from Photobucket, but my connection here in the woods is slow and iffy....

I just tried to post and found that Mitch came to my rescue....thanks, Mitch!!! ;)

Ah!!! Very festive! And how appropriate for this group and the GTG! Is Petula related to Belle in any way?? Third cousins twice removed...?

Also found out that when you stay for 6 nights you get the 7th night free....they are also seeing if they can work out a group rate for us....will keep you all posted on the group rate..... ;)

Then someone has to negotiate the rate for that excellent battlefield tour guide that was there last year!

Hi Lori, Ernie, Tina and Everybody else who are attending the GTG,

I've marked my calendar and plan to arrive on Sunday the 25th. I must be back in Connecticut by Friday night, so will probably leave Thursday, July 29th. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody again and having another special tour of the battlefield.

Lori, as of today, I plan on being there for the GTG. And I'm really looking forward to it! Sure hope we have a few newbies in our mix this time, as it is always fun to meet new sistahs. As for the tour guide, you can't get a better one that we have.

WooHoo!!! :D :D Got a fair signal tonight, so brought this up to the top with a little more info on the PA GTG.....

Paulette, in an e-mail, stated that she should call for her reservation soon, which made me stop and remember to let you all know that your reservations have already been made as I have reserved 10 sites here just for our group. All you have to do is to confirm with me that you are coming. I put a date of June 1st for this, but can give ya' a few more days over that to let me know. ;) They do not have a Credit Card reader, so payment is strictly cash or check.....I plan to put your name on the site so the size or type of RV you have will help greatly to make sure you fit in the site.....So far, I have the following gals coming. Paulette, PeggyVT, Shirl, Brewsterivy, and maybe Liz. I'm hoping that more of you can make it as the plans are shaping up wonderful....Our friend, Margie, who has taken the official "Gettysburg Tour Guide" course, has agreed to help the Sultan with the touring, to include a presentation of the movie "Gettysburg" on a projector "big screen" so everyone can watch it at the same time.... ;) and the Sultan has a special culinary treat for the group plan. ( I promise it won't be chili..... and will make him control his spices....  )

Adams County Winery Tour and Boyds' Bears are suggestions for side trips.

Okay, that's all for now....can't wait to see all of you!!! :D
