Mini GTG in Georgia!!

As everyone knows, Barbzee is headed to her "winter home" in Florida and promised to stop by for lunch, a short visit, and her PA GTG Flamingo Ice Tea glass.

Today was the DAY!!!

Got the phone call around 11:45am that she and Robert were 5 miles from the GA state line, so Ernie & I put up the "We are away...go to the office for check-ins or help" sign and drove out to I 95 to meet them at the Love's Truck Stop..

Then we chatted thru the windows while she & Robert got the "critters" leashed up for a quick "potty break"..

We then gave big hugs (us gals) and the guys did the "howdy-do" hand shakes....and off to the resturant we 4 went....talking and laughing all the way....

I presented Barbzee with her PA GTG Flamingo Ice Tea glass as she climbed into our truck...


Had a great lunch at "Beef O'Bryans", but too soon we had to take them back to their rig so that they could get back on the road, heading for Brunswick, GA for their over-nite stay....and Ernie & me back to Holbrook Pond and Camp Hosting duties...

Ernie & Robert hit if off really good...Geez, 2 "good olde boys" and their jokes, how could they not become friends....


And of course,Barbzee and I had to have our GTG photo taken...


We sure did enjoy our short visit and hope to do it again soon.....

How fun! Love the spontaniety (sp) of going to see sitahs! DS is going to have hip surgery in Savannah in Nov. I'll contact you when I find out how long he is going to be there. I've got gtg fever and think I'm having withdrawals. LOL

Hey Lori and Ernie... Robert and I enjoyed the visit and yeppers the food was pretty good too..how can it not be when you are in such good company... We did have some good laughs...Ernie and Robert sure did enjoy each other's comments...

Got here at Brunswick in a couple of hours and just leaned back.. Robert had to do some work on the computer..and me and the Critters just curled up and took a few Zzzzz.. Making up for our lost sleep...I'm sure hoping we have good neighbors tonight....

Am looking forward to getting together again... and hopefully some of the other Sistah's will head down our way..

You know that saying, "the more the merrier"..

Hopefully I'll catch up with Nan maybe tomorrow...and then it's the unloading the bus...ooooooooh my...
